We did not get get the room we booked and almost had No Room when we arrived last Apr18, 2025. Our room was supposed to be the PREMIER FAMILY ROOM which was 10800/night. I booked and paid the 30% of the total amnt last Feb. 26, 2025 to secure the dates apr18-20,2025. When we arrived, they didn't find my name on the guest list. Luckily, I saved my convo with the person from the booking office (michelle from manila which I didn't know). it should have been communicated to the people at the resort who we're physically there, but instead it was NOT, which is a BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. But the lady who attended to the problem told me "nagawan daw ng paraan". She even said that the room they're giving us is much bigger than the premier one, which is still not an excuse. Another bad observation, the two rooms beside us had a hanging pole for wet clothes outside the room. I assumed that all rooms had one, so I asked the receptionist (guy) if we could request one also but he answered they don't have that kind of amenity. I thought that the guests owned it, so I didn't give it any mind. But later that day whenn the guests checked out, hindi naman nila dinala so it means dun sya talaga sa resort and it belonged to them. Hindi ko na lang din pinalaki, pinalampas ko na lang ulit kc we we're there to relax and enjoy. Anyways, our stay was okay since malamig naman ang room and the beach was okay. I just hope that they come up with a better communication specially to advance bookings like ours. The receptionist even told me " buti po hindi niyo kame tinarayan" I just replied that I'm already at the verge of getting angry but since they made sure we have a room to stay, I told her I don't want to stress myself. I did not get mad because she made sure we have a room and that's the ONLY reason. But that's not an excuse for their negligence and poor communication. They are lucky they didn't give this problem to a hot tempered guest. WE'LL NOT BE GOING BACK to this resort and NOT recommend it because of...
Read moreWe booked 2 nights stay here because we were going to attend a wedding nearby. We drove all the way from Pasay and upon arrival the security guard at the front gate asked for an ID (per their policy is to leave a gov't issued ID for checkins) so I handed over my Driver's License from California, i hesistantly gave it but i had no choice. In exchange they gave me a laminated card which i kept in my bag. Up at the front desk they again asked for an ID so i asked the lady, how can other people checkin if they only have 1 ID and left it at the guard? she just smiled (well.. i guess?) I handed her my passport which is made a photocopy of it. We just left our luggages in our room which we found strongly smells of medicine for insects. Leaving the compound was weird the security guard ask for the laminated number from us back and we asked to let him give back my CA license but he said theyll give it to us upon checkout. So we were already misinformed with that because the following day another guard was asking for that laminated number and we told them that we already handed it over and he stated "that's impossible" my boyfriend got upset questioning him why its impossible if that was what his colleage told us. Long story short 2 guards keep knocking on our room asking for that freakin laminated number. I then couldnt keep it to myself and told them what do they think we'll do if we keep that laminated number?? If my CA license is more important. When we were checking out the other guard i guess their manager informed that that laminated number cost P500 to make. My bf and i looked at him shocked and said we were willing to pay for it in exchange of my CA ID. But he said "we'll take care of it this time, but next time you know our policy" He then handed over my CA ID finally. Like we're gonna go back there after that terrible experience!! Dont get me wrong the staff are verry helpful. But other than...
Read moreIt was not our first choice.. but thankfully they were able to accommodate us.
We arrived at Laiya at around 5pm and most of the resorts are all fully booked. When we were moving around and looking for a place.. men on a motorcyle (theyd call themselves tourism officers) would often follow us and talk to us about available resorts and hotels but most often the pitch would be for us to go to Alahbiga.. a bit annoying.
Anyways, in the end we opted to go for Laiya White Cove. Good thing they still have one room available.. they gave it to us for P5300 but sadly the room is not as what ud expect it to be.. a bit small and barely 4 people can fit in. But as what Catriona Gray's answer.. "see situation with a silverlining". We still opted to get the room and enjoyed our stay.
The beach, hmmm.. dont expect too much. Most of the time the photos are not saying the truth. We went for a swim at around 9am.. and i've to say .. wheres the water?? (Jokingly by saying .. its far)
The food, well since we only ate once - the breakfast.. i dont think my observation is valid. The point, we didnt find the food exciting.
Swimming pool, it was clear to us that theres no pool in this resort. So dont look for it. :)
But overall, customer service is good and we managed to just enjoy the day.
Ow by the way, when we arrived there's a wedding celebration (reception) on going.. and Im sad for the couple coz the sound system.. was...
