Definitely this wasn't a bad choice for us, it's affordable within the city, and very close to establishments, malls, restaurants, really accessible with adequate availability for local transportation.
It's a generous 4 out of 5 for us. But here's why. There are a lot of affordable options in Tagbiliran like 599 per head or something.
But they are a little farther away from the city. This is a good choice if you need a place to stay within the city. For 3 persons we only paid 1500 pesos only. We saved 300 pesos had we chose the other hotel which is 599 per pax.
It's definitely not a luxury hotel but the added bonus that it is just walking distance from malls, restaurants you save on local transportation expenses.
The place is a bit dated, but it is well maintained. There is no phone to contact the front desk so you need to go down stairs if you need anything. The room is just spacious if you get the double. Ours wasn't adjacent to the street so no noise from traffic outside.
There is good old CRT TV, air conditioning is quite good actually. Bathroom is not that luxurious but you can't complain at 500 per head it's a treat already.
So we're coming back here as this was a...

We had a downpour and the roof leaked, of course in to my room, and in my open suitcase on a suitcase stand. They weren't even concerned when I told them. I had a night to spare and the only reason we stayed was to avoid packing up and moving. And paying for the very expensive taxi''s in taglibaran. It's cheaper getting around in Manila and Cebu. Only thing that I can say positive is that the wifi was very strong, and the drinks you buy from them are very cold. Even a bit colder than the people at...
Read moreThe hostel is about a 25min walk from the ferry or 20P for 2 in a motorcycle taxi. The room had twin beds, comfy mattress, aircon & TV with English movie channels. Towels, soap & shampoo were provided. The staff were nice & put us on the quiet side of the hostel, not facing the road, the WiFi worked well in the common areas.||There’s not much sound proofing & having been in Asia for the last 9 months I know that noise is not seen as being a nuisance so in the morning when everyone is going for the early ferry it can be quite loud. ||There’s a supermarket virtually next door & a small shopping centre...
