I had a really disappointing experience at Chowking Alturas Mall. The cashier seemed annoyed whenever a customer ordered, making the atmosphere uncomfortable. We ordered around 6 PM and were told to wait 20 minutes for a simple Chao Fan. After 20 minutes, we had to follow up because it still wasn’t ready, and they made us wait another 10 minutes.
When we finally got our order (for takeout), we got home and noticed it smelled burnt and was extremely oily, clearly rushed. The taste was just as bad, and we ended up throwing it away. The photo shows exactly what we received—overly greasy rice with a burnt smell, unevenly cooked bits, and a disappointing texture. Definitely not worth the long wait.
