Exceptional location from all points of view. This is the 4th year spent in Zakopane and always in different locations, so I have become critical in the choice of accommodation. The guesthouse is warm and welcoming, very nicely arranged and decorated, located in a very quiet area, set back from the road, with a view of the mountains. The rooms are also spacious and warm, which ensures a completely restful sleep. Breakfast is served in an intimate lounge, with a variety of Swedish buffet dishes available. You also have at your disposal a small spa center, consisting of 2 saunas, with access only based on an appointment, an aspect that I appreciated very much, since you have an hour available just for you, without being disturbed by anyone. The parking lot is super spacious and is available free of charge. The distance to the famous Krupowki street is close (20 min walk), a route that I have walked every time. The staff of the location is also super welcoming, always at your disposal with anything you need. In conclusion.. I recommend this wonderful location 4*+ from...
Read moreHighly recommend! On a European road trip we had one night in Zakopane. This was a wonderful stop off. Reassured by text from Grzegorz on reception to check our arrival time. Good parking, easy to find and lovely peaceful mountain backdrop. Choice of 2 really nice rooms. Small balcony, great comfy bed. Lovely deep bath and quality kit throughout room. But what stood out most was the charming, stylish design theme of the White Sheep of the hotel name. A lot of thought gone into details like styling the walls on the stair public areas. In the breakfast room, cute little fir arrangements on the tables, and a sense that children would be welcome with high chairs, a play cooking area, and children’s crockery available. Good breakfast selection with great service if you needed help. Really a charming, low-key calm chalet-feel hideaway. It was a wild, wet, windy night…. But we were really cosy and delighted at our choice of place to stay. Round the corner, we ate at Zabi Dwor restaurant. Our only night in Zakopane sadly, but we will have fond memories of this...
Read moreBiała Owca offers great lodgings for a fair price. The rooms, food, and service are all on a really nice level. On top of that, the hotel is placed in a great location - very close to the mountains (5 minutes walk to the Strążyska Valley's entrance) but still relatively close to Zakopane's center.
The rooms are well-designed, merging a modern, minimalistic style with some traditional elements. The hotel's crew is helpful and nice, the food (the hotel serves breakfasts) is tasty and fresh while not trying to be super original. Everything seemed very clean and new.
Two minor negatives: The walls are quite thin. If your direct neighbors are loud (they like to sing, laugh and talk loudly) - you're going to hear 95% of their noise. It's very situational, though. Maybe you won't be as unlucky as we were in that regard. The ventilation in the building could be better. During the breakfast hours - the smell of food was lingering in our room until the middle of the day.
Besides that, it was a really nice, 4,5/5 experience and I recommend staying...
