The check-in was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. We arrived at noon and were left baking in 35-degree heat until 5 p.m., with no explanation, no updates, and no staff checking on anyone. When it was finally my turn to check in after 3.5 hours, the staff offered no apology or recognition of the horrible process. When I mentioned that a simple “sorry” would have been appropriate, she flatly disagreed and said she preferred to say “thank you.” Guests were clearly frustrated, but management shrugged it off as if ignoring the problem would make it disappear.
The chaos is unbelievable. They work with tickets, but not everyone gets one, so some people wait for hours while others arrive and walk right in. At one point, there was even a small rebellion when some guests tried to sneak ahead. Waiting for an extension? Over an hour in line, with only two staff handling the entire reception. Guests arriving at 9 a.m. were still waiting at noon. The check-in and extension process is ridiculously slow.
The pricing is a joke. At check-in, staff casually told me the price had just been increased the day before. When I tried to extend my stay three days later (after one hour of waiting again), the exact same excuse came up—two price hikes in three days, while customers are forced to wait hours just to check in or extend.
So many simple solutions could fix this chaos: more staff, more computers, a webform accessible by QR code so guests can pre-fill their details, automated kiosks for extensions—but no. Instead, their brilliant solution is to raise prices, blame guests by saying “oh, but it’s busy,” and show zero introspection or accountability.
Everything about their operation screams incompetence and arrogance. The site might have potential, but right now it is completely ruined by management’s disorganization, dismissiveness, and obsession with profit over service.
On the positive side, the bathrooms are clean, they provide toilet paper, the Wi-Fi works, and the environment...
Read moreThis site is just horrible. On arrival over the potholed entrance (no booking in advance allowed) you queue in Reception which is hot and very slow. You have to pay in full in advance (big red flag!) and then drive around looking for a pitch.
None are fully-serviced so you’ll either be near water or near power but not both. None are set out or defined so it’s a free-for-all, everyone just on top of everyone else. People are happy to walk almost through your plot!
Once you’ve settled in, you can enjoy the very intrusive traffic noise from the nearby main road into town all day and at the weekend the thump thump of club music from over the road. And if you’re really lucky, you’ll find yourself opposite a guy who ties his dog to a tree and goes off for 14 hours, leaving it to cry constantly. And a cabin under construction with accompanying table saw, hammering and even a JCB.
The free wifi doesn’t work well if more than 6 people are online at the same time, apparently, and pretty much not at all in the evenings. Welcome to the wifi spinning wheel of doom!
The supermarket is well stocked but expensive. Didn’t try the bar as there was a large group of rowdy blokes messing around.
The shower/toilet blocks are clean-ish but there are broken tiles, missing toilet flushes and grubby floors. Plenty of hot water and not on a push-button which is nice. Not so the pair of pants outside our block half buried in the sandy floor which had been there a while, evidently. Chemical disposal is not at the toilet block as you might expect, but at the few-and-far-between MoHo waste stations (why?) and the one laundrette is waaay up the hill by the terraced pitches.
On a positive note, it’s close to Albufeira if that’s your thing, it’s shady so quite cool and the pools looked nice.
We will not be back and I advise you to find...

It wasn't that busy during our stay. When you get thro the barrier hang to the right as all the spaces up on the hill behind the restaurant were taken by long stayers. We parked up in the area down to right . Dont go to far in as you get closer to the noise from the main road. That said it wasnt too intrusive. There is tree cover with a wide verity of tree types. Plots are reasonable generous about 8m x 5m compacted ground with some gravel. It rained during our stay and became a bit muddy. I'd imagine in the summer it might be really dusty. Ground staff where in action cleaning up leaves and pruning the trees. The site is kept nice and clean. The showers can be a bit hot then cold, block nearest the road was ok. Toilets and showers were kept very clean . There are toilet seats and toilet paper. There is decently stocked shop on site selling bead, groceries wine and beer, all of which were reasonably priced, shop is the other side of the barrier so you need to take your barrier card. Bus stop to the town is just outside the site entrance. €1.40 each single. It's fwaff getting back, we did a shop in the spar in the town and got a taxi back €5 including a tip. We took the opertunity to shop at Lidl nearby before we arrived and again on departure. Large number of different species of bird life worth watching out for. We stayed for two weeks. It's around €14 a night ACSI which is great value. I'd definitely...
