As a family of four with two teenagers, we stayed in Villa Rosa. The accommodation was perfect for our needs. The location is very good: A quiet neighborhood with spectacular views of the Atalantic with beautiful sunsets. It's walking distance to the local marina, with access to a very good super market, resturants, ATM, farmacy etc. There is nothing to complain about the villa itself. It's tasteful, roomy and clean with everything you need included, such as linen, towels, kithchenware, microwave and dishwasher.||||We ended up cooking dinner in the villa more than we planned, simply because of the excellent quality of the groceries in the local supermarket, and because of the serene atmosphere on the patio and the surrounding garden, which was perfect after a day of walking levadas and trails..||||A rental car is needed to get around and explore the island and we had a good parking spot just behind the villa. The road entering the facility is a bit steep which can be intimidating at first but we got used to driving up and down fairly quickly.||||The hosts Stephanie and Alexander were extremely friendly and welcoming and offered great recommendations on what to see and do on the island during our stay. They were also very helful in the planning of the trip and responded very quickly to any questions we had on e-mail.||||All in all one of the best holiday experiences I can imagine and the excellent accomodation was a big...

Read moreOur week at Quinta Golfinho was simply a dream come true. The entire property is beautifully maintained, tastefully designed, and exudes a deep sense of calm – a perfect place to unwind and recharge.||The setting was magical: from our private terrace we had an unobstructed, breathtaking view of the Atlantic Ocean – it felt like stepping into a postcard.||Our hosts, Steffi and Alexander, were incredibly friendly and always available for a nice chat, yet never intrusive – a perfect balance of hospitality and discretion.||The accommodation itself (Casa Frangipani) was very well equipped, spotlessly clean, and furnished with great attention to detail. Located above Calheta, it served as the perfect base to explore the island by car, while always offering peace and relaxation at “home”.||From the very first moment, we felt welcome and at ease. We wholeheartedly recommend Quinta Golfinho and are grateful for such a...
