Hello, I am writing this review on behalf of my parents. My mam is a person with a disability condition with leaves her a very serious reduced mobility of 8/10. This means she can't barely walk, stand by herself and she uses a wheelchair. They decided to book a room at this hotel through "el corte ingles", an intermediary. The hotel agent confirmed over the phone that they have facilities and rooms for disabled guests. So the contract was done for room for a person with reduced mobility. When they arrived at the hotel the room was not offering this service, the shower did not have a handle for my mam to be able to hold while she was showering, not to mention the very unestable chair they offer (she could have fallen down and she does not have the strength to stand up by herself if this situation would have arose). There was not even a handle beside the wc for her to hold while standing nor a chair for her to dress herself. She needs all of this facilities to do the things as best as she can by herself.
My parents talked to the recepcionists 3 times, and they kept ignoring them advising they would mention this issue to their directors/ managers. Receptionists did not do so, and did not offer any solution at all. This left my parents with no other possibility than leaving the holidays earlier. I believe the hotel managers need to reassure and ask for the construction of a safe space for people with reduce mobility as this is a very aggressive form of discrimination towards any person that suffer this condition. This should not happen again to any...

While I didn’t stay at Hotel Aeminium Coimbra, I did have the chance to experience its bar, and it was a lovely spot for a quiet evening. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with soft piano music playing in the background, creating a relaxed and intimate vibe. The bar menu offered a nice selection of food and drinks, making it a great place to unwind.
I visited around 7:00 PM, and it was pretty empty, which worked perfectly for me. I found a cozy corner to get some work done while enjoying a glass of wine before heading home. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience, and I will definitely return for a little R&R and a good glass of wine.
I can’t speak to the hotel rooms, but if you’re considering a stay, know that the bar has a great ambiance—perfect for a relaxed evening. Looking forward to coming back and seeing how it feels at a...
Read moreDefinitely not a 4 star experience from the time we checked in , No one in the lobby other than the receptionist that didn’t want to leave the counter even though she could have called for staff to help a family with luggage to check in , luggage was not carried to the room , water was only complementary for first night which was a shock to us ! The first hotel that I’ve stayed in that doesn’t allow you to carry breakfast out of the breakfast buffet that you’ve paid for in advance for your kid !! Not even an apple !!! Getting in and out of the parking was a waste of time and a useless process. Out of all the cities and hotels we visited this was the first place we were faced with staff that had attitude. When requested to speak with the manager they did not bother to show up at the reception counter and their msg was conveyed by the...
