Who are these people giving 5-Stars? Ate they living in a chicken coop? This is just a Portuguese version of Motel 6. IT IS AWFUL!!! I uploaded a pic of the visitor that didnt help pay for the room. There is nothing appealing about this roach motel to give it more than 1.5 stars.
I think we got the info on this place from Bookings or Hotel . Com so it is my fault for not looking more closely. There is another hotel with a similar name like Monaco Village so I was a little confused but quickly realized they failed.
We reserved "2 Twins or a Double" bed. No problem, as a married couple that like each other enough to want to sleep together, we will request a Double. We arrived late. 9:00 pm, no Doubles left. No worries we will change rooms in the morning.
The Double room had no plugs next to the bed, and no available plugs for your laptop in the room.
The television is the exact same size as my laptop in the Double Room. We practice by watching TV to read the language or watch kids shows to speak the language.
There is a large spread at breakfast but the eggs were scrambled in water, not butter or olive oil. Don't go to the room that looks like a restaurant you have to go to a gray door that looks like a fire escape route. It's the same food EVERYday!
They cleaned our room the first day but not the second or the 3rd day.
The roach in the bathtub.
THIS IS A WARNING TO PARENTS BATHING THEIR KIDS**There is a problem with the water in the shower, in the sink and in the bidet. You set the appropriate water temperature to use but the water will automatically change after about 20 seconds to scalding hot water. This happened in both the Twin 206 and the Double Room 115. I love bathing in hot water but this was scalding!!

Read moreI have decided to change my review and focus on the positives rather than moaning about negatives. It’s true, there was a lack of sleep first three nights, however I could’ve asked reception to change rooms earlier. When I asked to change rooms, I successfully moved to a different room at the back of the building. Although I could hear dogs barking during the night, it only happened a few times, to be honest these were neighbour dogs and not really anything the hotel can do. On a positive note, the hotel is very clean and tidy the toilets are checked every hour and this is good to see. The staff are really helpful too, and the pool, although is small is good for a quick dip to cool down. The location of this hotel is also good because it’s only €6 in an Uber to get to Faro city. It is also only around €7 to catch an Uber to beach. Generally hotel is three stars but a good 3 Star hotel. Breakfast could be better and I would like to see fresh orange juice rather than a push button machine. ||I am writing this review as I sit in the reception area with two hours to kill before my flight. As I sit here, I’m looking at the floor which is visibly clean and the staff member at reception is observed as really helpful to a new arrival. With all of this in mind, I think it is only fair that I change my review to a...
Read moreWe had an unscheduled stay at this hotel due to illness and being unfit to fly.
Let's get the cons over. It is extremely over priced for what it offers in terms of location, decor, facilities etc. When you are paying the equivalent of £250 per room per night you should expect something more than what you get.
The rooms are OK but the views (we had) are not. Beds are comfortable and the showers etc are adequate. It's just you expect more, I'm not sure that this hotel is on a level with the UK's Premier Inns.
Dining on an evening, from 15:30, offers a suitable choice of food ranking from sandwiches, toasties, omelette, pizza etc. Service is quite slow but friendly.
Breakfasts offer a good choice with scrambled eggs and hot dogs as a wink to the British predilection for cooked breakfasts when away from home.
The location of the hotel is very near the airport but no overflying planes. It seems to be situated in a residential area with a 20 minute walk to shops and some cafes. You'd need a car, I think, if you wanted to eat out on an evening.
The good part? The staff, especially the reception staff are extremely friendly and very helpful.
Clean.
Overview, ok for an enforced stop over but not a place to stay more than 1...
