We've just spent a week at Luzmar Villas and were delighted with our choice. It's a beautifully laid out, smallish quiet hotel with very pleasant service and a laid-back (but efficient) feel to it. We had a superior room with a sea view and it was huge, airy and very comfortable (excellent beds and shower, too) with a good=sized balcony and seating area.||||The breakfasts are fine - lots of fresh fruit and very good coffee. And because we were out all day, we ate in the hotel in the evenings and that was fine too, not exciting cutting edge cuisine - but then it's not a restaurant. But always appetising and generous. with a good choice||||The whole feel of the place is incredibly relaxing and it feels thoughtful and well-run. The staff - in particular Marianna, Bruno and warm smiley Delilah are all attentive and helpful. A bulb went in one of our bedside lamps during the week and within 5 minutes, someone had come up and changed it for us. Now that's good service! Oh and the wifi is fast, too - always a bonus.||||The hotel is about 20 minutes walk into Luz, but that means it's quiet and feels a bit tucked-away (it's on the road out to the lovely villages of Burgau and Salema) We had a car and there's lots of parking. The grounds are lovely and in all this is a very charming spot to while away a relaxing and restful week, being...
Read moreWe stayed for 10 days in a superior room with sea view. From the moment we arrived everything was fantastic, we arrived after midnight but a member of staff had stayed to get us checked in. The room was large and we had a comfy extra bed for our 3 year old daughter, the view was fantastic. |Breakfast had a great range of food for a small hotel and the staff bent over backwards to help you, toasting bread, finding different flavour yoghurts for my daughter.|We had dinner at the hotel twice and were really pleased with the options on both nights, always a range of starters plus a soup and salads, a meat, fish and pasta option with a range of sides and then a range of yummy desserts.|The location is good, out of town so nice and quiet but definitely better with a hire car, particularly with children as the walk into town was too far for our daughter.||We definitely plan to return, the only thing that would make it better would be a warmer pool, with the sea being so cold you need a nice warm pool to jump in after a day at the beach but it's...
Read moreReally do enjoy this place, it has a great breakfast in the morning and the staff are really content.
But I really have to make one mention that tonight bugged the reception lady a few times for small little request that she did not have to do at all.....
So We would REALLY like to mention.. we have been here 2 days in room 107. And 2 times tonight i have asked the receptionist, -Della, (i hope i had it right, as this is not her Portuguese name), she was receptionist working Saturday the 20th of July from midday till evening. ANYWAY....well thats her english name, blond curly hair with glasses..... WHAT A GEM. She went out of her way, and i could see she was not having a great day, BUT she still smiled, and nothing was a problem, no mater my requests! to help us with random things just to give us some sweets, and to half past with some drinks and stuff like that, but she's literally gone out of her way to help us and she's such a great lady....
SHE is a great asset to this hotel.... HANDS DOWN..!
Thank you Bianca and...
