Be careful with yourself when you decide to go to this restaurant. I had an accident here in June 2021. A wooden decoration sculpture fell on my foot and broke my big toe and also left my whole foot bruised.
I had to walk with crutches for 3 months, cancel my vacation plans, and could only work at 30% capacity.
It was a big surprise for me to not see any human, ethical, professional and civil responsibility after this happened to me from the owner of Kinoah. There was no check-in from her to see how I was doing or to get into action regarding indemnity insurance. Furthermore, the response from their insurance company said it was my fault because of a lack of attention.
The wooden statue was placed right smack in the middle of the entry path and was not attached to the floor. Anyone could have knocked it over. They even changed its place afterward and attached it to the floor, indicating that where it was previously wasn’t safe.
I lost consciousness because of the pain while at the restaurant. The bill wasn’t footed nor was anything offered as a gesture of goodwill.

We spent a few hours here and had food and drinks by the pool.
As I've seen on other posts, the staff were friendly but very slow. We had to go inside and ask them to take our food order. The food, when it came, was nice enough and the price is OK for what it was.
My VERY major concern though is the total disregard for the Corona Virus. At all times there were people walking around in the restaurant, behind the bar and even in the kitchen ... without masks on. There were clearly customers coming in and out without masks because they knew it wasn't necessary.
We did not see any hand sanitiser and absolutely none of the sun beds were being cleaned or wiped down.
It appears that the owners and their family don't feel the need to follow the rules that the rest of Portugal is doing so well with.
We will not return as it did not feel safe....
Read moreWe were told, to visit Kinoah for some relaxed atmosphere, friendly people and good food. So we went there for lunch and it was really good.
Sitting at the pool with blue sky, sunshine and light wind, we tried some smoothies/spritzlers/wine and some food.
The drinks were very good and a new experience like red-berry-spritzler... very refreshening and healthy.
We were all excited about the food; all very tasty, but mine was really outstanding: the big shrimps with garlic and red sauce were the best I ever had... simply fantastic.
The prices had been quite normal, the waitresses very friendly and helpful and so we recommend this wonderfull place to eat and relax... hot tip: Heide and her massage... after that you feel like new...
