We stayed here our first five days in Portugal. After landing from our red eye in Lisbon, we picked up the rental car and drove to Eleven in Boliqueime. We parked on the street in front of hotel and headed to The Jasmine room. We were exhausted, unpacked, and took a nap that turned into a full night’s sleep.|We had breakfast the next morning at Eleven in the beautiful courtyard. The hotel and the the town of Boliqueime was everything I had hoped for in Portugal! Hate to admit, but allergies caused me to spend an entire day in bed. Thank goodness for the neighborhood farmacia around the corner. I lived in Sinutab II for the remainder of our trip! I felt safe, protected and comfortable on my sick day!|The hotel location is quiet and peaceful, and perfectly situated close enough to and far enough away from The Algarve tourist areas. We visited Lagos, Silves, Villa Nova de Cacela, Albufeira, Olhão, and Tavira (our favorite). It was nice to come home to the serenity of Eleven after the adventures.|The town of Boliqueime has a pub or two, Italian/pizza place, and a few others within walking distance. Michael, owner/host, and his small team were all so hospitable and kind.|We are so fortunate to have chosen Eleven for our stay. The hotel is exceptionally clean, tastefully decorated and with a gorgeous courtyard.|You won’t be disappointed if you choose...
Read moreBeautiful hotel in a great location - we were vising for the Volta ao Algarve and Boliqueime is very central to easily travel to different parts of the Algarve each day. Michael is a great host - very friendly, helpful and accommodating.
The hotel is stylish (Meinke Flesseman art on the walls) finished to a very high standard and scrupulously clean. Lovely rain shower. Very comfortable large bed and the bed linen and towels are exceptional quality. A good coffee machine in the room as well as a decent hairdryer. For the time of year we visited (February) the Algarve can get a bit chilly but the rooms have underfloor heating which make them very cosy. Great quality window shutters to keep the light out.
The Courtyard with its olive trees is very pretty - we had a view of this from our room as well as from the breakfast room.
There is a choice at breakfast of eggs, cheese, breads, granola and fruit, good coffee and the best freshly squeezed orange juice.
Great place to stay with a few cafes and restaurants within easy...
Read moreWell, where do I start. We came across Eleven Boliqueime by chance. We actually met one of the owners in Quinta do Lago....and his details of the road to ownership were quite amazing. So, we decided that we had to go for a lunch visit in their courtyard. You could tell from the website that they have very good taste. The courtyard is amazing in itself. We didn't stay at the hotel, but got a quick tour of the rooms....and you can see the same great aesthetic is applied throughout. We started with some appetizers.....cheese plate, humus, chips and guac. All amazing! In fact the humus was so good, we had to get some to go! Our three year old loved to run around the courtyard and check out the koi fish in the garden pond. We continued with more appetizers and some fantastic rose....which was a very nice local choice. We enjoy hotels that are operated by the owners themselves....as you can see a great deal of pride and extra touch. We will be back as soon as we return to the Algarve. You should too!...
