Quinta de Santo António is the perfect place to relax and unwind. Close enough to the city, but far enough for you to feel like you can leave everything behind, the scenario is stunning, the service is impeccable and the food is the cherry on top of this wonderful experience. I couldn't imagine that the location would be so mesmerising, but the beautiful view really takes our breath away. The ambience of the place is quite good, you feel safe and comfortable at all times. The decoration transmits a lot of class, a perfect conjunction of traditional and modern. The staff is quite professional, warm and welcoming. One can tell people are truly happy working there. And isn't that a remarkable thing especially given the times we're living? The food is delicious! You have the restaurant and the bar and in both places the food is a unique experience in itself. Either for a vacation or a weekend getaway, Quinta de Santo António went directly into one of my favourite places to be :) plus it has a Padel court. I'm definitely coming back soon! And if you're visiting Portugal, this is an unforgettable experience you...

Now to the main topic, we got married in the Quinta 2 weeks ago and it was just catastrophic! The location is beautiful, but there were always problems with the planning, they said it was included and a week in advance they told you, oh, that's not included... the planning was really a disaster, which I personally think It's a shame, because the staff there is very nice! And the worst of all is that we didn't get the food we ordered at our wedding. Attached are pictures showing the food we were supposed to have on the left and the food we got at our wedding on the right! The fact that I'm crying on my own wedding day is very, very sad... the food we ordered back then was so good and high quality and what we got was just disastrous! Unfortunately I can't recommend getting married there, you just get the feeling that they just want to take someone's money from...
Read moreA last minute booking at this delightful hotel.||Beatriz was very welcoming and friendly and tended to our needs upon check in and very efficient when I made the booking on the phone hours earlier.||The grounds are quite big given that the area is amongst a semi residential area along the Douro river. Definitely a place to enjoy during the warmer seasons.||The bedrooms are quite comfortable, especially the beds, which is the absolute basic for every hotel. Unfortunately, the wifi signal wasn’t strong enough in the room, but am sure this could be rectified quite easily.||Breakfast was plentiful: eggs, bacon, cold cut meats and cheeses, cereals, yoghurts, juices, pretty much everything you need and more to start the day.||I wish I could have experienced the bar, Foz, as well as a nice dinner, but we arrived late and were quite tired to do eat or enjoy a nice glass of red. ||The gentleman in the morning whose name I cannot remember was also very Walt and accommodating, so a big thank you to...
