Joy Beach House — Hotel in Marinha Grande

This place is simply a paradise. We felt so comfortable from the very first second and were warmly welcomed by Igor - a great guy!

The interior design in boho style is a dream, you can see the sea from the lovely lounge/breakfast area (and in our room too), the sun shines into the building all day, which you can also enjoy on the terrace in a hammock. There is a small and quiet pool area inside and in the evening you can eat delicious food in the restaurant (we ate there on two evenings and everything was tasty and the service was great). The room that we had was unbelievably cozy. Our room had an integrated radio that played Portuguese music and we loved it! (I miss it) The breakfast is excellent, everything you need is there and everything tastes yummy. But the best about it is Igor's mum Ana - who prepares the breakfast, such a wonderful, kind soul.

Sao Pedro de Moel is a small wonder, undiscovered, beautiful - from one side you can reach the ocean in 5 minutes and from the other side the pine forest, where you can go hiking. We have never found it as difficult to leave a place as we did here - we will definitely come back and wholeheartedly recommend...

Joy Beach House lives up to its name. From the very moment upon arrival, we could feel the joy and pure bliss. The overall esthetic is minimalist, which helps free the spirit, but not without sacrificing a signal detail. In fact, this is one of the most considered and thoughtful hotels I’ve experienced. The staff is more than conscientious and authentically hospitable. The accommodations are beautiful and clean with views to spare. ||While it may be pricey for the area, it’s more than worth it and anywhere else would cost 3x the nightly fee. ||This is one of the very few hotels, boutique or 5-star resort or otherwise that I don’t have one suggestion for improvement. ||Note to Igor: Keep doing you and...

Before even check-in we had all the information and recommendations (including restaurants from other cities like Alcobaça, Nazare, etc.). When we arrived, we had a very warm and helpful welcome. Our room was spacious and had a nice view, stayed 4 days. Common areas are like home, we felt comfy. Also have a good honesty bar with various drinks. Breakfast, no chance to leave hungry, tasty and variety is more than enough :) Try to stay as long as possible...
