O Pouso dos Pousos — Hotel in Mesão Frio

Such an exceptional place to enjoy the Douro Valley! I can’t imagine there being a better place to stay. The views are absolutely breathtaking! The sunrises and sunsets on the deck were fabulous. It felt like we were on a movie set! The home has everything you could possibly need and is stunningly gorgeous and comfortable. I would be remiss not to mention our host extraordinaire, Helder. He is truly one of the kindest people around. When our son wasn’t feeling well, we had to cancel a reservation Helder had made for us. He not only graciously accommodated us, but checked in every couple of hours to make sure our son was okay. He went above and beyond what a typical host would do. We are looking forward to staying at O Pouso dos Pousos...

Exceptional in every aspect. Don't search for more. Best location on Douro River with great 🌅 sunrise and sunset. The house it self is designed by an architect and it is not a regular Airbnb house with IKEA collateral but with well equipped kitchen, quality and wide beds and rooms, high quality towels and every thing that you find there is high quality. The breakfast every morning wether you want it served on the deck or inside is a huge upgrades. The hosts were warm and friendly with lot of help (and in our case we needed for a medical help) to every thing we need. As many already mentioned the pictures are not doing justice to the place it self. You decently going to enjoy this place like no others...

It was a great home, a lovely pool with the best view! Pictures don’t do this place justice. Comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen and a spacious home.

Helder was very communicative and helped answer lots of questions about local wineries and more. Ana was great with offering us breakfast every morning.
