Tradicampo Eco Country Houses - Casa da Fonte — Hotel in Nordeste

An excellent, spacious house for a perfect vacation. There’s a large parking area, but the gate is quite narrow, so you need to be careful. There’s also a barbecue with firewood for a great evening. The place is very quiet, with only the occasional sound of cow bells. Bicycles are available, and you can ride them to the ocean shore to enjoy the sunset.

It’s important to keep in mind that there are no shops nearby — you’ll need to drive quite a distance. The only good café in the area closes at 9 PM.

One thing to note: every evening large slugs crawl along the stone wall. Before going to bed, you’ll need to catch them and take them outside. But remember, this is nature and we are just guests here, so it’s something to accept.

The person who helped us check in, Rui, is one of the kindest people I’ve ever met. He spent a lot of time explaining and showing us everything.

This is probably the best vacation spot...

We absolutely loved our stay at Tradicampo! Nothing was missing – from the fully equipped kitchen and firewood to bathrobes, laundry detergent, and even a fine tablecloth plus candles. It’s clear that every detail has been thoughtfully considered, which made the house feel truly special and gave us the comforting sense of being at home.

Ricardo and Rui were always available, and the communication was flawless. Both are incredibly warm and outstanding hosts.

The bicycles and croquet set provided at the accommodation were a delightful highlight that added to the experience.

On top of everything, the area where the houses are located is absolutely stunning. While we explored the other side of the island, we found the nature in this region far more beautiful and captivating.

Perfect accomodation with all equipment you need. Ricardo, the landlord is very helpful and provides numerous recommendations, hiking maps and an overview of grocery stores. The house is cosy with a beautiful garden. From here you can reach a great view point in 15min by walk (Vigia dos baleias) - Enjoy the au set here :-) we would definitely recommend this accommodation to anybody who would like to explore the North East...
