A truly lovely experience. Ricardo the owner is very helpful and prompt with communication. The property consists of 5 units, designed as a cohesive whole, respecting the local architecture. A lot of thought has evidently been put into its design, the beautiful gardens with seating at vantage points, the refreshing pool overlooking the view of the cliffs and sea, the way that each units' outdoor space has a view and yet retains privacy from the other units. We stayed at O Granel, a charming unit with a lovely carved wood bed, a fully equipped kitchen (the owners thoughtfully leave stuff in the fridge and drawers for breakfast and basic cooking needs like oil and spices). A large terrace/balcony and an outdoor space with BBQ area complete the picture. At the property there is even a small laundry room with clothes hangers and an iron. Tradicampo is a real hidden gem in Sao Miguel. It’s a gorgeous complex of ~4 separate apartments and the owners do everything they can to go above and beyond for their guests.

We arrived significantly later than expected at midnight due to a delayed flight and the host was still waiting for us with a big smile and took 20min to explain us all the facilities. They have an online website with all the to-dos on the island, including hikes, viewpoint, restaurants and much more. We used the online guide constantly to explore the island.

The apartment itself was super cosy and fully equipped to cook. It even came with fresh bread, jam, milk, pasta, rice, … There is also free bikes, laundry place and a cricket game!

The location itself is on a quieter part of the island with amazing views on the landscapes from the accommodation.

Lovely holiday accommodation with a view, convenient parking and super friendly, helpful host. We stayed 3 nights and had a marvellous time. Property has been refurbished with lots of care and attention, host has made sure that you have everything you need and more. So kind of them to supply breakfast staples so after arriving one doesn’t have to go to the shop! Not only there was coffee, but also bread, eggs, cheese, and home made cakes!! Also really enjoyed that I could drink some wine, and leave money in the box to pay for it. This is what a great holiday let is like. If you’re looking for a place to stay, look no further.
