First let's talk about arriving. It's on a cul-de-sac a dead end. This is not a hotel it's a house a house that has a lot of rooms in it. So when you arrive you're expecting a hotel only to find three houses on that cul-de-sac and the GPS tells you you arrived. When you get out and you look at the doorbells which look like houses in California you don't know that this is a hotel. Then there is a plexiglass sign which has been beaten down by the Sun that has half the hotel name on it. Then let's talk about this house sorry hotel. It was a nice house 15 20 years ago it has not been updated since. It is a modern style so that allows it to not be updated but it desperately needs it. It has two pools one has been closed for 10 years I know because I have a pool at home and this thing has a cover on it that the sun has beaten down and algae growing on it. The rooms are decent enough The hardware that the house has on it such as doorknobs are all modern so that's okay. The air conditioning works. You wouldn't think that would be a big deal but in Europe they don't use air conditioning or ice for that matter so the final hotel or a house with working air conditioning is a plus. And by working I mean that it gets below freezing or cold not that it blows cool air at you which is what most hotels have it set to. If you dial in the settings with the remote you can get it cold at least the room we stayed in. Here's the negative part we came with another couple and we both had the same experience when you go into the bathroom please wear shoes or slippers at all times even in the shower where your chancletas. There is mold everywhere I know that sounds crazy because you can get rid of mold with some simple Clorox even if it comes back a white down with Clorox once every couple of days should do you fine. The shower stalls were horrible and the tiles were broken and fixed horribly. As I mentioned we came with another couple and they had a similar experience in their shower as well after speaking to the guy who was staying down the hall I learned all the bathrooms...
Read moreFrom the moment we booked this hostel Daniela (the host) was very helpful. She sent me a whatsapp message with instructions on how to arrive at the hostel.
After a long day we checked in a little late and Daniela was very accommodating.
The location is very clean, spacious with plenty of secure parking for free. The hostel is basically a beautiful home/mansion with multiple rooms for guests and a very nice pool. On the morning of check out we checked out a little late to which Daniela again had no issues with. It was 11.15am when we checked out and breakfast ended at 10.30am however Daniela went through the trouble of bringing out all the breakfast plates again after she already packed it away.
Daniela you are a wonderful host and I recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to stay that is quiet, pleasant and beautiful that still has easy access by car to Lisbon city centre Highly recommended if you are travelling by car.

Read moreThe location is quite far from the city so it is suitable only if you have a car. This could have been a good idea though, as many people would be OK to drive there. But what let the place down is the build and the facilities. The building complex seems to have been unsold "luxury" apartments. The build quality is so and so and we were given the worst room in the complex: right beside "reception" and "breakfast room". (I'm using quotes as nine areas are suitable for their purpose: the reception is a table on a hall and the breakfast room is a repurposed bedroom, with barely room for 5 tables). The room 102 was mouldy, noisy and unsuitable for rental. The foundations are not properly insulated and humidity got into the walls; it is a health and fire hazard and not fit for usage. It is a pity as the place could be fine is...
