It's the school sumner holidays. The studio apartment is nice, modern, and clean. The pool is also nice and clean. Always has sun beds available in peak season, and it's peaceful. No crazy time finding a sun bed or queuing at a hotel buffet. The village has a small shop, small market and a few nice places to eat. The food at the local restaurant is good and prices are reseonable. I travelled with a teenage child who mainly ate chips. She loved the hammock outside the studio. There's not much else in the village. I managed with buying basics from the local shop but others may want to go to a supermarket in another town. The beach is too far to walk, so you either need a car or Uber to get around. I had hoped we could take a bus, but that's not an easy option. An Uber to the closest beach costs 5 euros but if you want to go to Lagos it's 30 euros. It's probably best if you have a car if you want to explore. This is a nice small complex in a local village. Different to the hustle and bustle of the main tourist resorts. I'd happily stay here again. The studio is well planned with everything we need. I use the cooker to make eggs and toaster for toast at breakfast. A kettle for tea. Cafe close by for coffee and cakes. They have a nice barbecue area for guests. I used it to cook a few sausages. Clean sheets and towels. We stayed for 10 days, and I kept the studio clean, but you can pay extra to have it cleaned if you want. We have a broom, mop, and cleaning materials. There is plenty of storage space. Good WIFI. If you arrive after hours, you get a card key from the safe to your own apartment. It's really hot so the air-conditioning is very useful. They also provide towels for use...
Read moreOur stay at peralux was a delight! The room was spacious and had everything we needed for our winter break. Moreover, all was very clean and tidy. PeraLux is well located with supermarkets, restaurants, self-service laundromat, and amazing beaches in the nearby town of Armação de Pêra. All in an easy 15 minute drive radius. The internet is a problem, especially nowadays, when it is such a basic need. Peralux really need to sort the weak signals. This is, in fact, the only item which needs attention. But the best of all was Paula, there is no proper word to describe her because she does everything 😊: House keeping, checking in and out, concierge, information expert, and always wanting to care for the guests - it was delicious to great her every morning, and she always had a warm smile for us. Obrigado por tudo, Paula!...
Read moreThe room is good-sized, clean, and has all amenities expected. The only thing I could say that could be improved is the bathroom: there are no hooks to hang your towels, nor any place to put soap and shampoo. The owners were very helpful and when we locked our Keys in, they answered immediately and arrived in 5 minutes to open the door for us. They were really nice and friendly! The swimming pool areas is great, and has a kitchen/bqq area and lots of appliances for longer stay-overs. The little village is quaint and although quite small, nice to visit. I recommend...
