Abacatus farmhouse — Hotel in Tavira

If you love nature... calm and peaceful place Abacatus Farm House is great for couples who want to stay in a calm and peaceful place surrounded by trees and away from the hustle and bustle of towns and cities. The room and bathroom are spacious. There are only 6 rooms/flats so it was never crowded at the pool. Sometimes you have the pool for yourself as other guests would be at the beach. The breakfast is excellent (freshly cut fruits and freshly squeezed orange juice, muesli, scrambled eggs, croissants, bread and cheese). If you are able and don’t mind walking, you can get to a beautiful sandy beach (Praia Do Barril) in 35 minutes. You can either take a small train to get to the beach or walk for another 12 minutes. You could go to Terra Estreita beach (23 minute walk) where you woudl take a small boat from Santa Luzia. Tavira and Santa Luzia are within 25 minute walk. If you don’t fancy walking, hiring a car would make it much easier to move from one place to another. We really enjoyed our stay and strongly recommend Abacatus Farm House and visiting...

We have been here twice (first when it just opened in 2021 and also in August 2022). This is the perfect spot in South of Portugal. Plenty of beaches nearby with a pool that is almost private given the place itself doesn’t have many rooms and guests. You can literally skip one meal with all the food served as breakfast, which in the end cut overall travel costs. The tenants are helpful and kind. If you are in a couple looking to relax, this is the place for you! IMPORTANT: when driving on the alley that leads to the place please go slow and pay attention.
