The hotel is situated aproximately 4 km away from the bus station to which you arrive by buses from Porto or Lisbon (btw those Rede expressos have excellent wi-fi). To reach the hotel you need the taxi, which will cost between 5.5 and 10 euros. I get the impression that the price depends on the taxi driver's assessment whether you will notice which tariff is being applied (since my night driving was pretty much cheaper). The hotel serves only breakfast, which is rich and diverse. And drinking a morning coffee on the terrace while listening to the buzz of birds is really wonderful experience. Nearby, about 1.5 km away is a well-stocked shopping center. However, it seems to me as if I am a little bit away from "civilization", which is the problem if you did not...

We hosted my international wedding guests at this hotel for a few days before and after our wedding in the middle of August. The service was excellent, the rooms great, the beds comfortable. It really feels like you're at home here and we had an amazing time with our guests. We also had a Welcome Dinner in one of the private rooms for 40 people, there was so much food and it was excellent quality. All of our guests enjoyed themselves and commented on how great the hotel was. They went above and beyond in what they done for us, especially because I had some issues with the original hotel I booked so I moved all of the guests here to the Montebelo at very short notice and they were so accommodating.
