Hotel EMD — Hotel in Bacău

This review is about the swimming pool of same hotel. I am not from Bacau. But, for the entry price, I expected better comfort and quality. Namely, there is no dedicated cafe/bar for the swimming pool. Not even waiter. To order, I had to dial the bar number , only to be told they were having 20 customers ordering a la carte and there was nothing I could do except wait... Well, when the entry price you asking is easily 3 times more than main competition, you just do not put on hold your few, expensive customers. Unless you do not want them. And as one of former reviewers mentioned, the jacuzzi water did not look that clean and smelled as piss. Swimming pool was relatively ok but not that big. Conclusion is, if you do not want to stay more than 3 hours and/or to pay high for average services, choose something else from the options out there....

This purportedly 4 star hotel is in an almost comical state of disrepair. The staff where unable to confirm any part of our booking, if it existed, if we had paid and what spa access was included. The first key we were given did not work so we were moved room, the second room varied from just old to completely broken.

The majority of the lights in the room were broken, there was mold in the bathroom, the bottom of the cupboard was broken and the carpet was old and marked. Undoubtedly the worst part of the stay was the bed, probably the most uncomfortable thing I have slept on since leaving...

If you want to book this hotel, just don’t.. for this price we did non expect to have teared robes, gray-ish bathroom towels, very poor furniture, and a awful ‘spa’ where the massages are done in the middle of the area, , and the sauna smelling and looking worse than a public bathroom. And at the ‘spa’ you literally have to sit on normal chairs. This area is more like a public pool where we would never go. The food was ok though and the sheets were clean, but we will never ever ever come to this hotel again. It is not even close to 4 stars standards, but the price is as high as a REAL 4...
