Stayed here for a week, last month.
The good...ish Room was clean. Mattress was OK (certainly not a Purple Mattress), but nonetheless adequate. Housekeeping did a great job. All of the staff I interacted with was extremely friendly and helpful... aside from the one guy who practically chastised me for acquiring an additional three room key cards during my stay, for a total of four cards. Four, 12 cent, plain white proximity cards... the absolute horror! I was curious what the logic was there... did he think I was spending over 100 dollars per night as a pretense to steal a few card keys from the hotel? Absolute Motel 6 tier logic on his part. The street traffic is practically non existent at night, and it's quiet on the weekdays... aside from the white Great Pyrenees looking dog at the residence next to the hotel. That thing loves to bark at night.
The bad: The sauna/work out room was inaccessible. I was told it was being remodeled, but I'll be damned if someone wasn't staying, or even living in that room. My room was next to the sauna/workout room, and there'd be a lady smoking at that room's window early in the morning and late in the evening... strange... If you're staying over a weekend, you might want to request a room on the far side of the hotel. When I arrived on a Saturday,, the hotel banquet room was hosting a wedding party that went well past 2230. The second weekend, IIRC, there was a baptism party on Friday and a Company Party on Saturday. Either way, fully booked weekend, so it was loud and... festive. The TVs are flat screens and smaller than most modern desktop computer displays. Smaller than just about any hotel I've ever stayed at. Granted, you don't stay at a 4 star hotel for the TV watching experience, but still. Parking is free, and was not an issue during the weekdays. Good luck with finding parking on the weekend if you're checking in and there is a...
Read moreThis hotel definetly deserves 5 stars! Extremely friendly and helpful staff at any time of the day or night, very clean, very comfortable and well equiped rooms. After 10 o’clock in the evening there is complete silence so you can get a very good night sleep. The only times when it is a bit noisy it is during the weekends when sometimes there are weddings taking place in the restaurant but those never last longer than 11 in the evening. The restaurant is very good, breakfast has a pretty large variety from which you can choose and if the buffet is not availabe they have a very big menu from which you can choose anything that you want. The rooms on the valley side have an amazing view over the city during the night. The city centre is 10 min away by car, a Bolt or an Uber costs you approximately 5€ one way, as well there is a very big shopping centre 10 min away from the hotel. All in all, I would say that this hotel really delivers it all, much better than other 5 star hotels...
Read moreI’ve spent 3 nights at this hotel which is new in town, 1 year. As location is a bit far from downtown, if you look for a quite place and getting a taxi wouldn’t mind then it’s okay. Rooms are a bit small for a 4* hotel, if you try to fit to toddler beds then it will be a struggle! It’s manageable but still the left place to move around is not enough specially if you have luggage. Bathrooms are quite small, you ha e amenities and a walk in shower, if you want to wash your kids I advice you to take a soft sower mattress. The fridge in my room was a bit noisy and and air con made some strange noises all night long. Breakfast is ok typical buffet don’t expect something out of ordinary. I would recommend it as a quite place if you travel with kids and you need travel cribs then I advice for two rooms especially if you...
