Don't believe the people saying it's "okay but old" - it is a 2* hotel at best which charges you 400 RON as if it was adequate. I don't know if those other reviews are fake, but it's the worst maintained "4*" hotel I've ever been to. And it's not a Romanian thing - there are good 3* hotels here, so there has to be something fishy going on. Let the attached pictures speek for themselves... My first room had the wallpaper peeling off the wall and huge visible strains of hair-fat on the headrest of the bed. See the pictures... After I changed rooms (thank you to the great staff - they are doing a fantastic job whilst being embarrassed themselves) the air-conditioning had some sort of issue and sounded like a idling diesel car. The bed-lamp is about to fall off the wall because last tome somebody touched that thing was probably years ago. How can the cleaning staff not notice that? So I changed rooms a third time - now I have no hand towel and the cleaning staff seems to have missed that a guest before me placed an empty can of washing fluid inside the toothbrush glass. Oh - and my closet has 2 coat hangers. 2!! And look at the refreshment tray placed in my room. One glass for a double room. Seriously guys - AVOID AT ALL COST. You will regret it. If you need something to get to the airport quick don't get fooled by "4*". It's not. Its a motel you find regularly along highways.

The price for a stay from Sunday to Saturday including breakfast was 510€ which I'd say is above mid range when it comes to pricing. The room was clean, the hotel staff friendly and accommodating. The asian style toilets are great and the bathtub is spacious with two shower heads. It wasn't possible to assist the height of the shower-hanger though, however shower caps are provided by the hotel :) so the hair doesn't necessarily get wet when taking a shower. The TV programs available also include some English news channels such as BBC and CNN. The hotel restaurant is decent, though the risotto wasn't that good, however the baked Camembert was great. The restaurant staff is friendly and efficient. Breakfast was good, decent amount of choice, coffee was decent however the orange juice was odd, seems like it was actual orange juice but really watered down. I'd say given the price paid for breakfast you're likely better off spending that money at a nearby coffee shop. The view of my room was not great: basically it's looking straight at an apartment building, because of which i kept the curtains drawn most of the time.

It' s an ok-ish hotel that we booked for a work trip. Pro: it's right in the city, pretty close to corporate buildings and just a few bus stations away from the city center (that means you won't have a good view from any room as it is surrounded by apartment buildings / windows / balconies, but you can walk or take a short bus ride to get places - although quite a lot of traffic between 17:00-19:00). The place could use some updates in furniture or room vibe, as it's all a little old in brown and bej. Important: request a room that's further from the elevator as it makes a disturbing sound that wakes you up in the morning and keeps you up late at night. Bathrooms need a little work too as the shower heads leak or don't work. Included breakfast was ok when it was warm. You need to wait a while for the drinks to be served to the tables, better go to the bar yourself and order them.

My family and I stayed there for 3 nights and thought it was value for money. ||||Room - this was a large apartment on top floor that overlooks entrance. It is hard to describe the style - it felt like a typical 1980's hotel with some updated modern features. ||||The main living room had no curtains but a strange Manhattan skyline sticker/ window film that did not keep much light out which was a minor issue as children slept in that room.||||The other minor concern was the electrical wiring - some sockets were not covered whilst others seem to be overloaded with plugs to various electrical facilities but we survived with no problem. May be a typical Romanian style.||||We had a hot tub/ jacuzzi style bath which children loved. There were 2 bathrooms.||||Breakfast - no Brtish breakfast but why should there be when in Romania. There was a good selection of Romanian meats in the style of a continental breakfast. Plenty of fruit, bread, drinks etc. The chef even provided omelette to children.||||Location - about 15-20 minute walk to city centre but this was not a problem. If you don't feel like walking there are plenty of cheap taxi's to flag down or the hotel can order you one.||||Check in/out - this process was smooth. Check out time was 12:00. We also were allowed to leave luggage to collect later in day before flight||||Swimming pool/ spa - we did not have time to visit these so no comment||||Staff - we found the staff to be exceptional.Everyone were very polite and helpful||||Not sure a 4 star may be a 3.5 star but overall we were happy with hotel and it...

SPA EITHER NOT FUNCTIONAL OR 'NOT INCLUDED'. EITHER WAY A CON.

I booked this hotel on the basis of its advertised spa facilities. When I went down to use them I was informed they were 'out of service' - no indication had been given prior to my arrival or even at check-in.

I asked about the possibility of a partial refund on the basis that I had spent significantly more on Paradis for the pool and sauna than I would have for other accommodation. I was told by two different receptionists that they were following up with the manager. As I left, I was told by the receptionist 'I've spoken to the manager, they are initiating your refund'.

A week later, with no sign of any refund, I sent a follow-up email. They informed me that 'my booking did not include spa access and so they would not be refunding any money'.

I invite you to look at their page on Expedia closely, and see whether there is any indication that the spa is a separate fee. Instead, the page absolutely invites the assumption that the spa is included (not least because Paradis costs a degree more than other just-room accommodation of a similar standard). I would submit that their advertising is deceptive and their receptionists polite only in-so-far as it gets you out of the door.

Even if the spa had been operational, the location of the hotel really is out in the (questionable) suburbs with a 30 minute walk into town. And breakfast, whilst extensive, was variable in quality and by the last day I...
