In October i booked 10 rooms in this hotel for the 1st weekend in December, this was after numerous emails over a 4 week period, on October 6th i received an email from them requesting full payment of the 10 rooms and could i do a bank transfer as their card machine was out of order, the following day i sent full payment and had confirmation from them via email that all was booked and paid for. Over the next 5 weeks i emailed them requesting airport transfers but never had a reply, 4 days before we were due to travel i had a phone call from the manager stating they had not received any payment and the rooms were being cancelled over the next 48 hours i sent various emails and copies of our email conversations with them confirming payment however they were adamant that they did not send bank details and had not received any monies and they were reporting everything yo the police which i welcomed. At this point i was prepared to give them the benefit of the doubt and accepted that the email had been hacked and stated that we were obviously not prepared to send any further monies via internet but accepted that the rooms had to be paid for again and if they would keep the rooms for us we would pay on arrival as all flights were booked so we were definately coming which was 2 days away, the reply i had was quite shocking "i was told that they had not had any payment so it was my problem not theirs and all rooms were now cancelled" (if i had booked through booking.com etc could have paid on arrival) despite numeruos phone calls and requests to keep the rooms they rudely refused. i appreciate they are entitled to ask for payment but feel there was no empathy for our situation. It was as if they keeping us away from the hotel at all costs. We therefore booked another hotel and paid on arrival with no problems. When i was in Romania I again emailed the hotel requesting all details given the police so i could contact them myself but am still awaiting a reply 5 days...
Read moreThis hotel was booked for me on this trip to Cluj and I was looking forward to it as it is within walking distance to the office.||||I was greeted kindly on my arrival but alas the hotel does no evening food, so you have to ask for a taxi to take you into the Cluj city centre to eat.||||The room and bathroom were very clean with good TV and wireless (once I found it as the wireless signal was a different name than listed). I was disappointed that there was no desk, so working on my lap while sitting on the bed was not ideal. Also I was surprised that there were only hooks in the wardrobe, so all my shirt and suit had to hang together with no room to space them out (see pictures)||||There is a small mini bar in the room, which was loud and noisy through the night so I unplugged it. No tea or coffee facilities either.||||There is a small gym and a sauna, which I unfortunately didn’t have time to use.||||Breakfast was standard in comparison with other Cluj hotels and did what was needed.||||The main sticking point to this hotel however is unfortunately nothing to do with the hotel itself. You are near a mainline train crossing which ‘dings’ when the barriers are going down. When the train goes through, for some reason the drivers feel the need to sound their horns, irrespective of the time. Now, in Cluj and Romania many people keep dogs as guards for their gardens and houses. Which means that they are in the gardens at night. Unfortunately the train’s horn starts all the local dogs barking. This then continues for the next 15 minutes until they calm down. Then an hour later the next train comes…. You get the picture. Good for Panorama Business inn that they give good air-conditioning and double glazing, so shutting the window stops the noise at night so you can get a good night’s sleep.||||I would return...
Read moreThe biggest problem with this place is the noise! The hotel is near a railway station, you can hear not only trains but also the railway crossing alarm. The walls between the rooms are so thin you can hear peope talking from the other room, this was terrible as the other person talked at the phone very late. Sleep is definitely a problem!! Then the breakfast: food was really cheap, I don't think I've ever seen worse than this, I couldn't eat, that eggplants salad was really bad. And then the bed. I do not know if my room was supposed to be a double one(did not do the reservation myself) but in fact there were two beds united and there was a big bedsheet on top of both of them to give the impression of a single bed. The price was also a lot higher than what they offer. The only good thing was the cleaness. I would not come back to...
