We stayed here as 3 friends each with a room each. The hotel Amurg is in Eforie Sud and is 30 mins from the main town Constanta which has everything from Mcdonalds to a lovely Mall. Now to the hotel what can say nothing but praise. By the end of the trip we felt more like family then guests. Both Christi(George) and Flori a husband and wife and family team went out of there way to make us feel at home and nothing was to much trouble. They are a wealth of local info. We were here for the 1st edition of the soon to be world famous PsyTrance event called Dakini Festival on the beach near the hotel. ||We were in and out at all hours and despite the breakfast supposed to be at fixed hours we were never disappointed or left hungry. We were even permitted to take snacks up to the room and of course we kept our rooms immaculate as we felt so at home. My room was light and airy and had a lovely balcony so as a smoker i was happy. The Aircon although oldschool was adequate. No safe yet but we felt secure with our valuables left in the lobby safe. The TV's are due ro be changed so no probs there and the Wifi was great. The bed was big enough and useable. Defo need a kettle and tea stuff in the room as there was non. Unfortuatly no peep hole either yet to view who was knocking on your door! The bathroom was shower only and the hot water took a few mins to arrive but hey it was good when it arrived. They had only just opened so expect great things next year even on a budget. Free car park made life easy. Guard dogs were friendly by the end of the trip and became friends and ate well (our left over steaks) they were well fenced off so if your not good with dogs dont worry. The hotel restarant served us real home cooked food and the breakfast even as muslim brits was amazing. The Romanian style beans a firm favorite and we are promised a full Vegie English next year. The prices are reasonabe but ensure u order a single shot of coffee for breakfast or its extra cost as we found out to our cost at the end of our stay. There is plenty of shops within walking distance lots of restaurants less then 10 mins walk away. You can access the beach within 15 mins walk or by car travel to Tiki beach which has all mod cons. If you get a chance and are driving check out Vama Veche the town feels like the old west with bars and shops and an amzing beach where all the real locals hang out and jamm. Its really lively and a Must see. If you are in this part of the world you have to stay here ! Maybe we will get lucky and a pool will be made to by next year ;) We absolutly loved every minute of our stay here and want to book this hotel out for next years Festival 27th...
Read moreWe were supposed to stay for 4 nights, but after one night we had to leave. When i made the reservation i counted on the description found on the site were i made the reservation but i was wrong to expect honesty. The room was average at most. The mattress was very uncomfortable, could not get any sleep. The tv very old. The room was not very clean: the toilet was not properly washed, the sink had some spots on it and instead of having soap and shower gel in the dispensers in the bathroom there were some old Nivea containers which you could tell were there for quite some time. They advertised a playing ground for kids which was not yet finished. They advertised special menus for kids but they only serve breakfast. No lunch, no dinner unless you are someone who appears on tv. For them they made lunch and dinner. For me they said they do not offer these services yet. Breakfast was average. We arrived after 9:00 and the bread was almost over and we had to manage. They ask for a very high price but offer...
