During our trip to the Danube Delta we have stopped - again in Curtea de Arges - this time at this pension. ||Location - Negru Voda street - gas station in 100 m from the premises ... with a small shop. Several rooms available - spacious and clean .. with a sparkling bathroom. Simple but functional , with a small TV in the room and strong Wi-Fi available. ||Parking in the courtyard - available free of charge ||Room - comfortable bed , clean room , the bathroom of decent size with shower booth and very clean. ||No restaurant on the premises but you can order from the restaurants in Curtea de Arges. Also in walking distance there are a few restaurants available.||Prices - pocket friendly and the owners are awesome upon arrival they offered a welcome drink on the house and they were very helpful and friendly. You can pay either cash either with credit card. ||Overall a very good place to stay , if you need accommodation in Curtea de Arges and you are not looking for luxury this can be the ideal...
Read moreMy first experience of a more traditional Romanian accommodation came with the Ruxi in Curtea de Arges. ||||I arrived earlier than planned, but only had a short wait on the veranda waiting for my room to be ready. Once inside, the room itself was quite comfortable, air con, tv, good sized bathroom and a communal fridge in the hallway for me and my 3 neighbours (although I don’t know if all 3 rooms were even occupied). ||||I had no complaints at all about Ruxi, and if I was staying for longer in CdA or the area, I think it would’ve made a decent base, but unfortunately I only had the one night. ||||My only issue with the room was the lack of counter space in the room, just one small table which was given over to a tray with glasses and stuff. Read moreWe had an excellent time at Pensiunea Ruxi as we were traveling through town and needed to spend the night. The hosts are super nice and friendly, and they are very keen on making your stay pleasant. The rooms are clean, safe, and decently equipped, there is a shared fridge with plenty of room and freezer, and the bathroom is also very clean with a spacious shower cabin. We did not pay for breakfast, but since we asked for hot water in the morning, we also got 2 pre-packaged croissants, unexpectedly. The property also has some parking both in the yard and outside. The only negative I could possibly mention is that the pension is a bit far from the city center. However, by car it took us about 5 minutes to get there, and parking was easy, so this was not a problem. Also, we enjoyed a good quiet night's sleep here due to the location, so all in all I highly recommend...
