Probably the largest hotel in town (or one of), centrally located near shops and restaurants. I imagine that in its heyday, this hotel was grand - but it appears that years of neglect in a town with little tourism has taken its toll. ||||We had a double room with two tiny twin beds covered in bedspreads (which are often so gross - we immediately tossed them on the floor). The carpet was worn, the walls were dingy, and the room just felt a bit unclean. There's no air in the room, so they left a fan. ||||The bathroom was extremely small and hard to move in. The shower was usable, but tiny. Not enough towels for two people. ||||There was complimentary WiFi and it worked.||||There's only one lift for like 10 floors, and the lift only holds 2 people (tightly). ||||Breakfast was a very small buffet with minimal items. They did have two really great coffee machines, though, with several options.||||I would not stay here again - I would find another hotel in town (the new Werk hotel & spa), or go to...
Read moreI was very dissatisfied with this hotel:||- there was only one towel in the bathroom; asking for a face towel at the reception I received the shocking answer that if you come with a group you can not ask for another towel !||- the water at the WC was constantly flowing||- to put on the toilet you have to pull one foot under the cuvette; although the hotel was renovated the bathrooms are for dwarfs||- in the morning the space for breakfast is too small, crowded, with insufficient staff||- at breakfast the juice dispensers were empty, also no cold water ||- for 103 rooms and four floors is a single lift of two people: if a coach comes, an agitating crowd is formed||- the restaurant has only 8-10 persons tables (for weddings) that occupy useless space: if you enter the restaurant alone or accompanied by a person, where you sit at the huge table ?||- I do not know if the restaurant next to the hotel (the one with barrels as tables) depends on the hotel but here I found a very poor menu||The three stars are...

In the morning the breakfast items weren’t prepared (it seemed like it was only the 2 of us staying that night, so in a way that was understandable) A reasonable breakfast was prepared eventually especially for us, then we were charged for it additionally (and I was under the impression that it was to be included in the room rate as this was what the hotels.com stated) Quite a few things that hotels.com mentioned as available at the hotel certainly weren’t there (rooftop terrace??). Overall, it was a very old-school hotel, possibly quite a grand one back in the 1970s... It was very basic but clean and did the job for us for one night stay. Majority of staff members were very friendly and had best intentions, but simply didn’t know any better. Ample off street parking...
