Even if the building is newly renovated and all the furniture is nice... the fact that they have extremely small rooms for standard rooms cannot balance the positive aspects. When I say small, I mean a space of 50 cm around the bed and the ceiling can be touched by hand by a person who is 1.60 cm tall. You feel like you're locked in a box, and even if you don't suffer from claustrophobia, this is the perfect place to experience what it means. These are the "average" rooms in terms of price (460 ron/night in August) There are also "cheap" rooms (350 ron/night) which are attic type and where things are much worse - you can't move without hitting your head on the "ceiling". It is something that I have never encountered, anywhere. HORROR!! In conclusion, only the superior rooms are the ones that deserve a good rating and only there you can stay in normal conditions if you are willing to pay over 100 EUR/night in season. There are chances of getting a better room if the reservation is made on Booking because there they are interested in receiving good reviews. Regarding the "staff" - I only found the owner, his wife and possibly their son at the reception. They all still have a lot to learn in terms of hospitality, their attitude is not at all what...
Read moreI am really happy with my accommodation at this hotel. It is a brand new, luxury hotel with affordable prices. The location is excellent, being close to the beach and shops. The owners are very nice and welcoming, and the staff is also very friendly.
The rooms are spacious, modern, and impeccably clean, with all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. The hotel's design is stylish and elegant, creating a relaxing atmosphere. The air conditioning and free Wi-Fi are much appreciated, especially during the warm summer days.
Additionally, the hotel is situated in a quiet area, which ensures a peaceful night's sleep despite its proximity to the vibrant beach and local attractions.
Overall, my experience at Grand Taverna Hotel was exceptional. The combination of excellent service, prime location, and high-quality facilities makes it a perfect choice for anyone visiting Vama Veche. Definitely highly...
Read moreAvoid this place at all costs! Dirty bathrooms, rooms extremely small for 80 euros a night, water running from the shower cabin in the main room, owners with bad attitude, and no respect for customers, rooms have the main light with movement sensors, that means the light shuts down every 15 seconds, if you just wanna sit in the bed and read something, you can't, you have to continuesly move in order for the light to stay on, absolutely ridiculous! After complaining of the hygiene, water and the sensor light they kicked me out in the middle of the night, making fun of me saying that if I don't like the room they will buy me a room at a 5 stars hotel, shame on you. Unfortunately google won't let me attach Fotos, but I can show them for whom ever wants to see them and find out more about the horror experience with...
