Corina — Hotel in Mangalia

I have been visiting Venus for more than 15 years and have been spending most of my visits at Corina. In the recent years they have invested in the rooms, updating them, adding air conditioning, making them more comfortable. The design is simple, the rooms comfortable and clean, even though they are not very big. The balconies are larger in the front, but smaller in the back. On the downside, the mattress is very hard and the bathroom quite small. The personnel is helpful and keeps the place clean. The location is further from the beach, but a short cut will take you there in about 5 minutes. I overall...

We chose a cheap hotel because it was a last minute planified vacancy . It is not located on the beach, but about 10 minutes from the beach, in a quiet green area. That was not disadvantageous but rather the contrary, since it is otherwise quite noisy in the city. At the hotel itself: it looks ok, is clean, the furniture is new, it has 4-5 towers in the garden where you really can relax after beach. The staff is very nice and helpful There is also a free parking space in front of the hotel ... which is unfortunately very small, but you can always find a place close even if not directly in front...

Great staff, but below average accommodation. Would look elsewhere. The bed was a bit too stiff and it was very squeaky, even slightly moving while sleeping would cause enough noise to wake you up. Most of the furniture was old. The water pressure in the shower was low and the temperature was just warm. The refrigerator barely cooled food and drinks. Everything from the hallway could be heard through the door. Our room was on the rear side of the hotel and it was also quite hard to sleep with the window open, as vehicles could be easily heard.
