Hercules — Hotel in Mangalia

The review is for the restaurant only. I don't even know where to start. I saw the bad reviews in 2018, but I thought maybe they have learned something in the meantime. Big mistake! I will not talk about food, although they tried to cover the lack of any taste with so much vinegar. I will talk, instead, about employees and their lack of elementary education. And when I say that, I don't mean professionalism, respect for the client or other important things for someone who works in services. But actually about bad manners. It seems that, by mistake, we sat at the employees' table, although it was not signaled at all. Moreover, on that table there were still the glasses from our previous order. The employees took a seat realy close to us. We tried to ignore the ostentatious behavior, but a third employee came and sat right at our table, on the same bench with me, giving us a full view of his back. My mistake was that, instead of letting him be and mind my own business (who would have?!), i told him that at least he should have asked for permission. He started yelling at me and showing me signs of disgust. I called a supervisor who just sat there while this character insulted me in front of my kid. Review is for the restaurant only:||||Fish soup - was actually fish-meatballs-soup but nowhere advertised as fish-meatballs. At our fist fish-bone we sent it back. After a lot of time came a chicken soup with dumplings but without any trace of chicken.||||After this event we were expecting that they were careful with our table. Nope!||||After another time we asked (thinking it was for the last time) when will the rest of our food be ready. The waiter said 2-3 minutes. Then we saw him going over to the kitchen but came back with the food for another table.||||After 1 hour and 30 minutes during this time we had 4 beers, a Fanta & a dumplings soup (for the kid) - got up and left. During this time 2 tables near us sat down and ate... Not our case...||||We asked why on earth we had this poor service and they had no answer... Their way of settling this issue was „no payment for what you already ordered”... but we still didn't...

I come here every year and I feel real good every time! The rooms are big, clean and comfortable, with AC. The food is fresh and tasty, here you can eat all kind of fish dishes. The dinner and breakfast buffet is reach and diverse, you can find something tasty to eat. I liked that they open a beach bar, after the beach widening works, so you don't have to go to the hotel bar. The staff is very young but is well intentioned and doing their best! I had again a nice experience with the hotel and the location is great, just...
