Pensiunea Nea Marin — Hotel in Moeciu de Jos

Well, as I said in other review Pestera and Magura are my favourite places, so I went all over it...first it was Magura, now Pestera I think it is way better from many points of view (easy acces, better facilities, better accomodation, food etc). So, years ago, first going to Magura, we couldn't miss once to stay at famous Nea Marin...well that's why it took me so long to decide if it is a 4 star or a 5 star review....I get a feeling that Nea Marin is a little bit overappreciated becouse of its publicity, but on the other hand from Magura accomodation is definetely in top 2 best! Some rooms are really small, very basic, the pictures show them nicer ...... but they are clean. The dining room on the other hand is nice, cosy. The big plus are the owners who are really nice, the garden is nice, the entire house looks cleand an well taken care. That's why and also for their effort I finally...

Stayed here for three nights and it was wonderful. The owners are a charming family which speak perfect English and take very good care of you. The rooms are clean, the beds comfortable, breakfast and dinner (half-board=+60/pax) were delicious! A lot of hiking routes start directly from the hotel and vary from some hours to full day tours through the mountains. We even got the map to take with us on our hike and a great explanation! Will stay here again when I come in this area again. The road is indeed a little tricky but a 4x4 is not needed. But a lowered car would...

Everything was perfect. Of all the places where I've been here I felt the best. The most beautiful view of Magura, an intimate, non-commercial hostel that makes you feel like home. 10-course food, rich breakfast with traditional products, fresh and tasty cheeses and sausages, fir bark cheese, dry salami and dementia cheese. Wonderful hosts and quality tourists. Beautiful, spacious and clean rooms, the bedding smells of flowers.
