Pensiunea Dobre — Hotel in Moeciu de Jos

This Guesthouse is in Magura which - up until the 50's - was only accessible by horse & cart and only in the summer. So we did not expect 5* service. Our room was clean and spacey with balcony. Having a hot shower in the afternoon and on a busy morning proved impossible though - water only tepid. We had bookey 2 nights HB and the food was fine except the 2nd dinner which consisted of warmed up soup from the day before (minus the meat on it) and some dried, grilled slabs of pork, thrown together with a few gherkins and BBQd potatoes. No pudding whereas the night before we had dessert. Local complementary schnaps though which was nice and the owner sent us on our way (we were hiking) with 2 Romanian sweet buns which was nice. Not a quiet place if that's what you are looking for as this guest house is family-run with children playing outdoors and shouting on occasion. Cand vezi recenzii negative, te astepti ca raspunsul proprietarului sa contina ceva scuze si promisiuni ca problemele semnalate se vor remedia. Aici nu este cazul, raspunsurile date de proprietari judecati-le voi.. Din experienta va spun ca recenziile negative sunt adevarate. Iar cele pozitive sunt cusute cu ata alba . Fac parte dintre turistii care au avut bunavointa sa petreaca a doua vacanta la rand -Revelion 2023-2024 si 2024-2025 , pentru grup si in speranta ca problemele din prima vacanta se vor remedia. Din contra, regret si acum alegerea facuta. In prima vacanta ni s-a spus ca se primesc tichete de vacanta , cand am ajuns la locatie nu mai era valabil, de vina era contabila , noroc ca am avut bani cash. Raportul dintre oferta si pret nu a fost ce trebuia. Clanta de la intrarea in camera avea incuitoarea defecta iar televizorul era de decor. Am semnalat problemele dar nu s-a intampat nimic. Mancarea pe care am primit-o pe tot sejurul nu a meritat banii pe care i-am platit. Al doilea sejur a fost si mai grav. Daca voiai sa platesti cu tichete se percepea un comision. Initial am fost cazati la mansarda, unde camerele sunt foarte mici ca si baia de altfel. Dupa ce ne-am aratat nemultumirea ni s-a schimbat camera dar sa nu credeti ca era altceva. Diferenta era ca in loc sa urc doua scari urcam una. Caldura in camera primeam cand si cand, de vina era termostatul. Apa calda si rece la fel, de vina era statia de apa din comuna. Televizoul lipsea de data asta. In noaptea de Revelion in jurul orei 2.00, proprietara a luat initiativa sa faca pe DJ-ul ,reusind sa ne trimita la culcare. Voia ca muzica sa se auda in surdina. Faptul ca ni s-a cerut sa platim cu doua zile inainte sa plecam, in conditiile in care nu era prima oara cand petreceam revelionul in aceasta locatie ,a fost cireasa de pe tort. Nu mai spun ca am cerut un document care sa ateste plata si ni s-a spus ca s-a inchis casa si vom primi a doua zi , nu s-a intamplat asta. Iar cu mancarea , cred ca in jur de 60-70% dintre turistii cazati in aceasta perioada s-au deranjat la stomac, varsaturi pana la a se chema salvarea. Nu imi face placere sa imi pierd din timpul meu pentru a relata problemele care au fost in aceasta locatie, stiu ca nu este usor sa gestionezi o locatie in care turistii se asteapta sa meite banii pe care ii platesc, banii care nu se castiga usor in ziua de astazi.

Dar vreau ca proptietarii sa invete ceva din asta iar turistii care le trec pragul sa nu...

We will not come back again. And do not recommend staying there. There are cultural gaps that cannot be bridged. The host is neither welcoming nor pleasant. She made us feel guilty about little things and woke us up screaming in the middle of the night from sleeping with a flashlight. (In total, we scooped water out of the room because the shower was flooded) There was a group of 30 people who made noise and played music until 3 am with the permission of the hostess. When we approached her and told her that it was disturbing our sleep, she ignored. Only after we paid when we arrived,, the host told that a group of 30 people was coming. If we had known this before we would have considered staying there, after all we came to rest in a quiet and pleasant...
