First off, the hotel is a 12-13 minute walk through very uninspired territory to get to the much touted pedestrian shopping/restaurant boulevard. My wife commented that she would never have felt comfortable walking the route alone at night. Our room was small and the bathroom was minuscule. Really, only one person at a time can fit in it. The shower leaks on to the floor just as other reviewers have noted. We found only one useable outlet for charging our electronics in our room. We had breakfast one morning of our stay: arrived at 8:48am to find (cold) pre-made omelettes and hot-dog type sausages in non-heated serving dishes. Bread was stale, juice was highly watered down: 25 lei per person is a joke. The bed was very firm which I like and the front desk personnel, breakfast server seemed friendly enough. The hotel’s private auto park is right across the street. We’re not planning to come back to Oradea again, but if we did, we would...
Read moreThe only upside was the parking, which was honestly kind of useless as there are plenty of free parking spots on the same street. The facilities were non-existent. The wifi wasn’t available in our room and the closet was crashing on us. There were about 4 deg C outside and we received a very thin blanket with nothing extra to put on top. There was no heat for the duration of our stay so we were pretty cold during the night. Also, the pillows and the mattress were really bad, but that doesn’t even matter anymore. The bathroom smelled a lot like mold and the shower didn’t have ANY hot water, only cold. Didn’t receive any shower gel and only half a roll of toilet paper. Also the towels smelled bad as if they hadn’t been washed. Very expensive for the lack of facilities and for...
Read moreA very bad experience! We rented a room only for one night, but it was more than enough. The outside of the hotel looks good, but the interior is another story. I don’t know how the rest of the rooms are, but the one given to us (nr.1) was very disappointing: a worn carpet, a closet whose doors fall on you, and a bathroom that looks like a war took place there. If you want to wash yourself, keep close some medicine so you don’t get the flu. Hot water is more like cold water, there’s no presure, and the shower is unusable. We mentioned the water problems at the reception and the answer was that they can’t help us. DON’T get breakfast at the hotel. It’s very poor and composed out of cheap products. You’ll be better off with a pretzel and a yogurt...
