This hotel is an amazing accommodation that I will gladly recommend to people traveling through Jiu Valley. The architecture and furnishings are classy reminding clients the history of this place that celebrated 100 years old. The staff is extremely polite and helpful. Very friendly attitude toward guests at reception, housekeeping and restaurant. The food is delicious and affordable. The view of the mountains from the windows is magnificent. This venue has wedding and celebrations ballroom settings as well. We thank you so much for a wonderful stay that I extended!
Read moreFormer Casino from the interwar period, renovated and transformed into a hotel. The restaurant, with a sumptuous dining hall, occupies approximately half of the building. The owners' obsession with vintage is evident in every detail, the corridors being decorated with all kinds of objects that were extremely useful a century ago. A simple trip to the toilet resembles a walk through an antique shop.||The room is furnished like a movie setting whose action takes place during the First World War, but the bed is comfortable and the toilet is modernly equipped.||In fact, the whole experience is like visiting a historical movie set. To get there from the road, one needs to cross a railway that looks like a movie set from the 80s and drive through a neighborhood frozen in the 90s. Generous parking within the hotel's premises. ||The breakfast is decent, the coffee very good. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant and appreciated the appetizers and the duck leg. Lunch didn't excite us as much, however. All in all, an...
Read moreVery very beautiful rooms for 3 stars hotel. I would even say - the room was like a 4 strars hotel according to European standards. The room was large, clean, well equipped. Unfortunately, there is a big room for improvement in terms of friendlyness. Out of 3 people we met at the reception, only one was greeting us and was very friendly. What was under any critique - the breakfast. Such a pity. Again, in terms of customer service, - no good morning when entering the breakfast room, no catlery available. Extremely limited choice of food. Everything only super industrial, cheapest ingredients. No coffee machine - just filter coffee. The plates, once emptied, were not filled up again. No jam. No honey. Worst breakfast I have ever had. Basically we left the table and went to eat somwhere else. So, if you are concidering the stay - I recommend the hotel in terms of the wonderful rooms and also the beautiful hotel itself, but don't expect to have a Greta...
