Hotel Blue Night was a late booking so I didn't do a lot of homework. My experience indicates that the Blue Night normally may have questionable people to stay. Now my reasoning.||On arrival they wanted to photocopy my passport, I said that they were free to check my passport and that the details I entered on the registration form were correct, including passport details. The receptionist then said that if they could not copy my passport I would have to pay in advance....no problem.||I was given a door key, a card to operate the power in the room and unusually the remote control for the TV.||The hotel had a lift,(elevator), but I still had to carry my case up/down two sets of stairs to reach my room. Not good for the older, infirm or wheelchair bound.||On entering the room which was quite large and airy I was surprised to see a bulb out in the light fitting just inside the door, then there were 2 bulbs out in the triple fitting above the bed and 1 of 2 bulbs out in the bathroom. Ironically looking at their own photographs on a booking site they had bulbs out in my room on there too.||There was no mini bar as described in the room amenities, there was a fridge that was turned off and empty.||The promised LED tv was there, but tiny and I could not see it while laid in bed, this maybe a problem with my eyes rather than their tv.||The drain in the shower worked fine after I removed the hairs of previous guests. Not sure why this wasn't done by housekeeping before they put the 'disinfected' sign across the shower.||The best part was saved for checking out, bearing in mind that they had already asked me to pay in advance.||I gave her the card, key and remote control (with batteries). She then told me to wait until one of their staff checked my room. I was flabbergasted. I asked if she was serious and was looking for the hidden camera to catch my reaction. She was serious.....I left to put my case in the car. While I was doing this the second receptionist came out and told me the room was fine....phew.||As an aside, and this is not the hotels fault, but it it in a location where you have to cross several busy roads. The people are all budding formula one drivers so if you stay here be VERY careful when crossing the roads or indeed driving...

No soap in the bathroom (had to ask twice for it). The hot water was turned off under the basin, when it was turned on, the basin tap squirted water everywhere, we left it turned off which meant only cold water available from hand basin!! ||Only 2 light bulbs out of 5 in the room worked, and the bathroom light started flashing when turned off. The hotel was supposed to have a restaurant but it was not available when we arrived mid-week! The sheets & duvet only just...
