We spent 3 week this summer (July 2016) at Hotel Albert in Ploiesti, RO, and we are very pleased with the overall experience. The hotel is new and clean, the room was spacious (we had a Junior Suite), the TV, WiFi and AC worked great, the grounds and parking are nicely landscaped and maintained, the people are nice and the location of the hotel (close to the largest and most modern commercial complex in Ploiesti) was perfect for us. It was easy to get in and out of Ploiesti without having to drive through the city.||||Couple of things you should be prepared for though:||1. The king size bed was really hard. Couple of extra comforters on the mattress will do you good.||2. On Saturdays, the hotel restaurant (Il Pavone) holds wedding receptions. The noise insulation in the hotel is not the best and the Gypsy wedding music is an acquired test. So, if you want to keep the enamel on your teeth, we suggest soft ear plugs for that night - that's all it takes.||||And speaking of Il Pavone, the food in this hotel is absolutely outstanding. Master Chef, hats off to you sir! And than you to the staff as well for providing superior service. We will see...
Read moreThe hotel is located on the northern outskirts of the city, quite far from the center and has a very bad connection by public transport. The only acceptable solution is a taxi. The great advantage is that in the immediate vicinity (200-300 m) of ten most popular restaurants in the city... You have no need to eat in a hotel restaurant, walk to nearby restaurants... What I have to point out, it was the cleanest room that I saw in hotels...
Read moreI have stayed with my husband in this hotel between 23rd Dec 18 and 1st Jan 19. We couldn’t fault it: clean, very quiet ( although is situated on a main road is set back away from the noisy traffic ). Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was continental , plenty of choice and staff happy to prepare something special should you wish to. Plenty of parking too. Plus loads of good restaurants right...
