La Curtea Porumbăceană — Hotel in Porumbacu de Jos

Pluses: ||-Excelent location, beautiful view of the mountains; ||-Big yard, well maintained, with enough attractions to keep adults and kids bust for hours(toys, badminton field etc);|| -Beautiful, well preserved decorations (folk motiffs)|| -Staff was helpful when asked for extra stuff;|| -Food, though not much of a selection, was tasty and plentifull.|| Minuses:|| -Room was dirty- no cleaning done before.There were dead insects, dust,the rug was filthy; ||- They seem understuffed/ undertrained:there was hardly anyone you could find to ask something or give feedback too; we had to constantly look for them in the kitchen. Though helpful,they did not seem open and friendly;|| -There were very few options for dinner (2 courses) and breakfast- and all high in colesterol. A vegetarian would starve here;|| -The room was basic.No hairdryer, no mugs, no fridge;||-Folk decorations are overdone; you feel like...

zero hospitality,the rooms were dirty and the toilet seat was full of urine from previous tourists.there was only one spot light in the bathroom and after asking from the owner to re mediate the light problem,he didn't care about it.on their site there are a lot of pictures and remarks that don't have any relation with reality.for example the food ,you don't have a menu to choose from,you'll need to eat only one type of food,the food prepared by the owner the same day.if you are a good farmer this doesn't mean you are a good manager also.if you don't know the basics of hospitality it's better to stick with land work.the first time in my life i was happy to leave the place I've stayed...

I stayed there because of the short distance from Tranfogarska route. It was only one night, but for an attractive price I got a comfortable bed, dinner and a beautiful view of the Carpathians. The hotel is in a climatic as a mountain motel, with regional accents, it is a little difficult to reach by gravel road, but not for my big enduro motorcycle. I liked this place very much. I attach photos from the balcony and I think all rooms have the same view, I guess.
