Hotel President — Hotel in Satu Mare

I stayed at this hotel in August, 2017. I booked the hotel on the last minute, on the basis of its location, close to where I needed. It did not disappoint.||||The hotel is located on the other side of the river from the center of the city. However, for Airport access it is much better due to traffic over the bridge. On foot, you have to cross a long bridge.||||The staff is very courteous and helpful. The rooms are by no means luxurious, with some fittings which could use updating, but the essentials are there (good desk, wifi, and most importantly a very good sleeping bed).||||The breakfast is relatively basic, but the pastries were good (there are a few basic choices included, either omelette, or pastries, or vegetables, but you can combine by paying).||||All in all, for Satu Mare, which has a dearth of decent hotels, this was a very good option, and I...

I do not recommend. Booked a room with a crib , even massaged them explicitly asking after doing so but when we got here after a long drive the response was that it was not available since the crib was already taken. The room was very small and they said they would be able to bring in an extra normal bed.

The worker at the reception was very annoyed that how come after driving 6 hours, Im mad that we do not have what we explicitly asked since " its not her fault, what can we do ".

I guess we being there for 15 minutes was difficult for her to cope after driving 6 hours and we basically needing to start searching for another property.

Completely ignoring requests after confirming via messages and then saying " its my fault I didnt book it " until the reception looked for the messages is something not desirable for any...

It was late on a rainy Sunday night when I snatched the last room at this hotel . I knew nothing about it except the reviews I read in the car, so I booked it . We got there a few minutes later and the owners Titiana and Alexander welcomed us as if we were family, not total strangers showing up for a room. Titiana showed me the two rooms I could choose from -- well furnished, comfortable. A steal at the price. In the meantime Alexander served some Palinka to my husband, and I got some too...granted we speak Romanian, so perhaps this was a friendlier welcome than usual.
