Pension Lion — Hotel in Sibiu

We booked this pension on line and were not disappointed in late May. Though the hosts do not speak English, their adult daughter does and was a big help as she was present most of the time. They were gracious and cheerful people. The buffet breakfast was plentiful and varied with enough choices for two adults. Our room was large enough with flat screen TV and BBC news for us to watch. The bathroom shower requires care as it is small and has a shower curtain rather than sliding doors. The room and bath were spotless. When asked about having some laundry done, they said yes. However, as P. Lion doesn't have a dryer, our clothes were a bit damp, as the weather was still cool, when returned to us. This is common in Romanian pensions, we learned. There was space for our rented car in the gated area. The only real drawback was when we returned for two more nights in late June, the weather had turned hot. P. Lion does not have air conditioners in the rooms. An open window and door let in the mosquitoes and...

We stayed here as a couple and it was great. ||As other reviews mentioned the pension is located 20 minutes by foot from the city centre but that is not a problem as we enjoyed taking a walk through the streets. Additionally you can take a taxi which should not cost more than 80 RON (either way). ||The room was nice, modern and even though it is by the road it was quiet inside. |Price was reasonable (120 RON) and we didn't have breakfast. There is also available parking for your car. ||Will definitely book again...

Total dezamăgită de atitudinea doamnei proprietare deoarece am făcut rezervare la prețul de 160 RON camera așa cum este specificat prețul și pe majoritatea site-urilor unde Pensiunea Lion este prezentă și acest lucru trebuie schimbat sau comunicat respectivului în caz de sezon sau de oricare modificare, iar la sosire doamna a insistat să ne ofere o altă cameră la un alt preț contrazicând-se continuu cu noi și încercând în același timp să ne umilească. Consider că, această Neînțelegere putea fi rezolvată cu calmitate (ceea ce noi am încercat să facem) și nu cu replici de genul, citez: “vă rog, ieșiți afară sau nu vă primesc”, “noi suntem ardeleni de cuvânt, nu ca voi cei din sudul țării”. Încercând să-i explic cu frumosul pentru că nu mi s-a părut relevantă atitudinea ei. Și mai ales că pentru familia mea nu au contat cei 20 de RON, nu ne fac niște banii în plus, dar un astfel de comportament îți pierde cheful ca și turist. De asemenea, ca sfat pe mai departe oferă servicii de calitate nu doar în ceea ce constă comoditatea și confortul camerelor, ci și celui pe care îl primești în mediul tău ca străin în primul rând, dar și ca educația ce ține de bun simț și respectul pe care ar trebui să le oferim...
