Vila Romană — Hotel in Sibiu

For those who are looking for luxury - that's not the place. If you are looking for a quite place away from the noise I would say this is a good place. ||Easy to find in Platinis close to the main road - in terms of parking they have a small lot , we were a larger group and 12 cars were parked without any issue. ||Rooms simple - but clean , bathroom with bathtub - again the bathroom was very clean - nonetheless bring your own soap, shower gel , etc. you will receive only towels when you get the room. ||Staff very friendly and very helpful - nothing to complain. ||Breakfast very good - cheese from the Sibiu region, homemade sausages, fresh vegetables , so from my perspective really good.||In terms of the menu we only had dinner - again since we were a large group it was decided for the mixed grill , with "mici" , sausages on the grill, various pork cuts ... nicely done. ||Games room available , with ping pong table , table football and games so altogether even the kids have something to do. ||The surroundings are beautiful , pine tree forest all around , fresh air. ||Nothing is better to drink your morning coffee on the terrace with the mist rising from the forest. ||To sum it up , what you pay is what you get - is nothing special but is a really good place for those traveling on a budget. We stayed for 2 nights in the summer and had a triple room. The room was very clean and neat, the bathroom was very clean, we had plenty of towels and the bed was comfortable. The room also came with a small balcony, which was great because we could just sit there and enjoy the fresh air. Furthermore, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, they really tried to cater to every need. The location is pretty good, if you travel by foot, the villa is about 30 minutes away from Paltinis center and the chairlift, if go on the main road, and 15 minutes from the Arena Platos slope, if you use the same main road. We have returned to this place second time in a year because wanted to stay away from city life but still be close to all major tourist attractions within 35 min drive. The place is clean, comfortable with very helpful receptionist with attention to details. Booked a triple room for 2 of us because they are more spacious on the top floor and without any issues also with very good view. | Only advise when arriving to the hotel ignore the first road signs carry on driving because there is a paved road with very easy access to the hotel.
