Read moreWe were arriving late by train (and the train arrived an hour late), and we were also leaving very early, so it made sense to stay near the station and Hotel (or Hostel) Nord was the only option.||||The good points - it is opposite the railway station, and very easy to find. Reception, both night and day time, were efficient and friendly, with good English. Water was hot, and rooms were fairly clean.||||Poor areas - the first room we had was street side - noise from the trams starting before 6am waked you up; there is no air conditioning so you need to have windows open; the first room did not even have a fan; the bathroom in one of the rooms was a little smelly; we moved to a rear room, which did have a fan, and was quieter, but still hot; I tried to book direct with them, but got no reply. Room for luggage was sufficient, there was a small fridge and tv, both working but we which we did not use. ||||Heating schedule was weird, with the radiators on full-power for about 2-3 hours, after which having them completely powered off for the next few hours - it was either too hot or too cold in the room, with no means of controlling this.||||All in all the stay was pleasant, and as far as money goes, it was a...
