Sofia — Hotel in Timișoara

I ended up staying here for one week during a business trip because there was no availability in the usual (mostly bigger chain hotels) that are usually booked by our business, so I was a bit apprehensive about the service I might receive, but honestly, I had nothing to worry about. This is a great little family-run hotel. All the staff were very professional and I was very impressed by the genuine warmth and friendliness of the hosts and received great personalised service as opposed to big chain hotels where you are just a number to them. I had some dietary requirements (I'm limited to halal or vegetarian food) and the staff were very accommodating, prepared special breakfast and meals for me based on this. As for the room and the common areas of the hotel, everything was spot on, beautiful carpets all squeaky clean and everything smelled fresh (none of the stale odours you tend to experience in some hotels). The only slight imperfection I could find was that it's a good 20 minute walk into the city centre (hence the 4 stars out of 5 for location), but that didn't effect me as I enjoy walking so I would just walk to the city and back and as there isn't a gym here, the walk itself became my daily exercise, but even if you have to take a taxi / Bolt, these were quite affordable in Timisoara. But on the plus side, the hotel is in a residential area so there was absolute pin drop silence at night, which is also important to me as noise at night does tend to keep me awake in other hotels. Needless-to-say but after not expecting much, I was very pleasantly surprised and would highly recommend this hotel. Highly recommended! I was extremely satisfied with the staff professionalism, all services and amazingly delicious food. The owner is also very friendly and personally involved and with a great attitude and attention to details.

We had a last minute need for special fasting menus and reservation for 40 person, celebrating a funeral and they were prompt to help and helped us tremendously. All our guests were very happy and satisfied and they continued even the days after to praise all the staff and the delicious menu.

Great location, we've made probably the best choice for accommodation in a last period. Extremely clean, very confortable, very beautiful and comfortable room, nice furniture, big bathroom and excellent working AC, very fast WI-FI, felt like home. Very friendly and dedicated staff, quiet district, parking place in front of the pension, nice backyard to stay and have breakfast or drink something in the evening, with a big TV, basic breakfast.
