Pensiunea Dana — Hotel in Vatra Dornei

I am totally disgusted by the experience at the 'Pensiunea Dana' in Vatra Dornei. I was taking part in a road trip with my cousin these days in Romania and called this house to book a room. I explicitly asked for an apartment with 2 rooms (and two separate beds) AND ALSO A BATHROOM, which I was assured that is available. The next day I was going to arrive in Vatra Dornei around 8 pm. I was called around 2 pm by the owner and asked of my arrival time, and NOTHING MORE. Finally got there after a long trip and he said to me with total nonchalance that the apartment was book for someone else and that I have to stay in a regular room with a bathroom on the hall, TOTALLY different of what I have spoken on the phone, mentioning that I either stay here or go. I chose to remain there since it was 8 pm and I was so tired from the road. WHY I was not announced at the 2 pm phone that a change of plans appeared? Because I would have gotten the time to search another place to stay... . Moreover, to satisfy the demand of two separate beds he brought me a folding bed, which was a mess (photo attached - its state after I only tried to sit) . I do not want to say that the sheets were not clean at all and that I was forced to share the bathroom with 4 more people ( it could have been worst since there were 4 rooms with the same bathroom which gives a total a 8 persons). Do not choose this house for any reason in the world because there is a total lack of seriousness. This is the kind of experience in Romania that...

I don't recommend Pensiunea Dana! I made a reservation a week before for two double rooms with private bathroom and balcony. They confirmed that all the rooms had private bathroom and balcony. Two days before we went there they called and asked if we were going, and I confirmed. However, when we arrived, they offered us two double rooms with a shared bathroom, and the bathroom was not even close to the rooms. Also, the rooms were not the ones posted on the site, they were much smaller. I asked what happened to the rooms I booked, and they said that it was crowded, and they offered the rooms to someone else! I asked how they could give our rooms to other people, and they said it was our choice. Our choice for what??? To stay in other rooms, which we didn't choose, with less comfort? Extremely unprofessional! We will never go there again, and I definitely don't recommend...

Loved this place. It is a very good option for 1 night stay. We arrived at midnight (very late check in) and although it was closed the hosts were very kind to let us in to stay. Hosts are very kind and friendly. Very clean rooms. We had a room with balcony with a great view. Very quiet, perfect for resting and sleeping. If you arrive at night there is no were to eat cause everything is closed, so it is better to eat before arriving there at night. During the day there are a lot of places to eat (Romanian cousine). Easy to find (if you are travelling with gps). We enjoyed...
