Together with our friends (two couples) we reserved and paid 2 balcony rooms upper floor with mountain view ( this last request was asked in the comments section). The reservation was done 10 days in advance on booking.com (when there were still plenty available) and confirmed on email. We reached the hotel around 1 p.m. and tried to check in (at least to reserve the rooms and leave the luggage). We were turned down on the reason that the check in is only after 5 p.m. As we follow the rules and being reasonable people we decided to have a short hiking trail until the appropriate time comes. When we came back (around 16:40), we found out in stupefaction that almost all rooms are already checked in, room 1 and room 6 the only exception. Our question on how is the check in after 5 p.m. was answered by total silence. These two rooms left were ground floor rooms, one with street view and no balcony, the other with balcony and mountain view. Inquired by us the receptionist initially said that those two rooms had been reserved by booking.com and they (hotel’s representatives have no involvement in choosing the rooms!😂😵💫 I didn’t know that booking.com are performing receptionist work as well and doing such a lousy job at my expense.|| As we explained to her that we were not born yesterday and visited a few places in our almost half century of life she finally decided to call the manager to solve the situation! Waiting for the manager arrival (she was not in the hotel at the moment) and being very cold in the lobby we asked about the hotel heating, if the restaurant is open and sauna is available as it was mentioned on booking.com. In a nonchalant way she replied that the restaurant is open for breakfast only, the sauna is not functional , being under refurbishment, and the heating is starting only below 18 Celsius degrees (and stop above this temperature evidently! this being the government request on the energy crisis! 😂😂😂 This would have been so funny if wasn’t so sad. The manager arrival, a young edgy lady only confirmed the hotel issues and the bad staff attitude. We were invited to leave having the money returned, this being a favor as we paid nonrefundable price. With 15 euros less for each room we finally considered us being lucky for leaving the hotel as many clients started complaining about the household items.|| Booking this hotel was done having a good time experience long time ago when its facilities were in place, the staff very friendly and experienced and the most important thing the hotel had a...
