It doesn’t matter how clean or “luxurious” the hotel might be if the people that work there are rude. When we checked in with our friends, the lady at the front desk refused to put us in the same building even though we came together and asked if there were any other types of rooms that might work. We were even willing to pay extra. The woman was so adamant “that we must understand it cannot be done.” Once we parked and took our bags out of the car, the worker we were with received a call that they were able to change rooms for our friends. Why this couldn’t happen when we were at the front desk? I do not know. We then got ready to go to the pool. FYI, one bottle of wine and one gin and tonic cost $37. The pool water is very warm and it was very crowded. After that, we went back to our room and got ready for dinner. We were seated at 10:10 pm and no one came to greet us for 20 minutes. When a server finally did come, he told us that we could no longer order food since it was after 10:30 and now it was 10:32 and the cooks would no longer take any orders. We asked to speak to the manager and she seemed very stressed out and we did not want to take the chance that the cooks would tamper with our food. We had to find a grocery store in Brașov to find food for dinner. The manager could have said…”we cannot cook you a meal, but may we offer you a soup and salad?” We would have been happy with anything. And why did they even bother to seat us and then let us sit there for 20 minutes with no service? It was truly awful. The room seems to have air conditioner but it did not work at all and only made a very loud noise when we turned it on. The balcony and bathroom doors do not have screens so bugs can get in. We had a huge wasp come into our room since we needed the door open for cool air to come in from outside. There was also a birds nest on our balcony with a bunch of bird feces under it which was not pleasant to see. Last but not least, the parking spaces in the garage are incredibly small…good luck parking your car and avoiding dings from...

We went with our 1 year old and mentioned we would arrive between 15:00-16:00. We got there later, at 16:15 and our room was not ready until 16:50! We were told by the concierge to go to the spa, as if that would solve the issue and we had bathing suits already on us, when all the luggage was in the car. When we went to the room, the access code was not working, thankfully there was a staff member on the floor and she let us in. The cleaning staff need more training. On the surface it appeared tidy, but the floor were not vacummed, floor was not mopped. In normal circumstances i would not complain, but for the price we paid and considering we have a small child, this is unacceptable. Bathrooms smelly, one toilet was broken, door hinges were all squeaky that if you had a need to use the restroom during the night, you would wake other people. Needs humidifiers in the bedroom as the air gets very dry during the night. There is a screw loose when you open the door to the terrace that can injure your hand. Definetly not a SPA as they market it. Just a small indoor pool, one outside and there are no amenities for families with small children in the locker room. Dirty showers, not even benches so you can change. Very poorly designed. Not family friendly, lady from the pool was more concerned about the towels and not by the fact that we were struggling to find a place to change the baby. No food was permitted either as our son wanted a snack and we got scolded for opening up a banana.
Non-functional showers at the “spa”.
0 entertainment areas for kids.
At the restaurant, waiters had to be asked to provide us with a high chair for our kid.
Finally, the deposit money does not make sense. Makes you feel as you wait to collect it at check out that you are trying...
Read moreI’ll start with the positives. The rooms were definitely luxurious and spacious in comparison to other hotel rooms we stayed in. The bed was large for European standards, though, as with most European hotels, we only got 2 small pillows. The balcony was huge.
The negatives: the receptionist lady was very rude and annoying. We quickly learned from one of her colleagues that she’s like that to everyone, not just hotel guests. I’m not sure why anyone hired her; she’s terrible, and needs to go. We later asked for extra towels since our room had only one large towel and one robe, and she sighed loudly as if we were inconveniencing her and then she proceeded to rudely ask us “exactly what do you want?”
The restaurant looked nice but we never got to eat there since we were seated but nobody came to take our orders until it was too late and the kitchen closed down. We then had to drive in the city to buy groceries from a 24/7 store and ate in the car. In my opinion, if you seat your guests at a hotel, you should serve them, not keep them waiting for 25 minutes, and then tell them “too bad.”
The room air conditioning was loud and did nothing to cool the room. It’s also placed on the floor next to the windows/under the curtains, which doesn’t make much sense. We had to keep the door to the balcony open, and consequently had bees show up in our room.
The parking spaces were tiny, and we literally had to crawl into the drivers seat from the passenger door to pull the car out several times. At least there was covered...
