Hotel Bucegi Porțile Regatului — Hotel in Zona Metropolitană Brașov

The only good thing about this place is the location and the building itself. Went there with a large group (50people) for a whole week, with meals included in the package. They are understaffed and the staff they do have give the impression they hate their life and you for being in it. The food was a joke. Except a few decent lunches, it was worse than I have ever had anywhere. The people who had chosen a vegetarian menu had it even worse. Rooms were nice and the view gorgeous, but all was thrown down the drain but really bad management. Points for the only guy who seemed to know how to smile around there. Would never go back, unless management and COOK changes...

The restaurant offers tipical dishes of the rumenian tradition. The bean soup served in a loaf of bread is a must try: Warm and full of flavour. Just what you need yo keep the cold mountain winds away. The aries' pastrami is also very good, the meat is salty and juicy with a side of polenta. But the king of dishes is the "tochitura munteneasca": a meat and sausage stew, served with polenta, cheese and egg.|For dessert you can have crepes, ice cream or "papanași" a fried donut made of flour and cheese, eaten with sour cream and blueberry jam.|5 star...

The rooms were mouldy and poorly ventilated, the showers flooded over, leaving you in a stew of unclean water, the fixtures were either cheap, flimsy plastic or broken. The food was horrible - dry meat, soggy vegetables, frozen potatoes, fried deli meat (what?) or overboiled rice. The waiters were also rude, forgot everything you asked them, slammed your food down and rolled their eyes when you asked them something. Absolutely...
