Pale-Royal — Hotel in Литейный округ

The hotel is located on Liteyniy Ave, 46 which is just a stone's throw from the city center. Saying that, it's a go-to location for short-stay visitors. The horrifying reason I give it 1 out of 10 is in the end.

Everything functioned well. The room is well equipped with towels, shower gel and shampoo. The room is stuffy but luckily there was a floor fan I used at times when in the room. I didn't experience any noise from the street as the windows looked at the quiet courtyard. TV didn't cast any channel yet not a trouble for me as I was mostly out. The worst thing that killed the whole 2 nights stay was THE f# COCKROACHES in the bathroom and in the room!!! I couldn't believe my own eyes when I saw them first. Sadly, I didn't have time to take pictures as they ran away and hid in the door crack fast. However, next time when I got into the room, I saw 2 cockroaches crawling the walls.. I was scared to death as I'm afraid of any insects. WHAT A NIGHTMARE! This time, I managed to take pictures and then smashed them quickly with a shoe (see attached). The stay was NOT cheap. For 2 nights stay I paid 121$!! 121$ for stay with cockroaches... Was it worth it? Up to you. I've visited St. Petersburg on February and decided to stay in this hotel. Warm and friendly staff,special thanks to HK, Ms. Eva. Clean and neat. I really felt my self at home, they have well furnished kitchen, neighbors usually friendly and adequate. |There are two bad sides: |1) after 7-8 PM there are no staff. |2) If you are going to stay more than 6-7 days, you have to make registration by yourself, or you can pay to reception 1,500 rubles more and they will make it for you through a different agency, which makes some difficulties and problems for guests.
