If you have even a little experience with decent hotel chains, I strongly recommend staying away from this place. Unfortunately, this hotel is just a pale shadow of a true four-star property: a huge, outdated, and unwelcoming building that feels more like a dormitory than a modern hotel. To be fair, the photos and reviews made this clear in advance. The only reason for my visit was a promise over the phone that they still honor the Radisson Rewards loyalty program here—supposedly offering upgrades and breakfasts for VIP-status guests. In reality, it was a completely different story: at check-in, I was coldly denied all privileges. Yes, they formally gave me an “upgraded” room, but if this is an upgrade, I shudder to imagine what a standard room looks like. The queen-size bed turned out to be two small beds pushed together, with no hint of comfort or anything premium. I was hoping at least for a junior suite, as I used to get in the past when the hotel actually valued its loyal guests. Many former Radisson hotels in Russia still honor Radisson Rewards privileges, increasing guest loyalty and encouraging people to sign up even for the not-so-useful Cosmos program. They even had the nerve to mention Cosmos Stars to me. After such a cheap trick, I have absolutely no desire to ever deal with these so-called hoteliers again. I will never return here and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. It’s a remarkably short-sighted policy: they promised privileges, then denied them at the last moment—saved a few pennies, but lost a loyal guest and their recommendations. After this experience, Cosmos Stars inspires no...

Read moreI have stayed at many hotels. And have stayed in many hotels in St Petersberg and Moscow. I would not stay here again and recommend you choose another hotel. The experiences of this hotel are very bad and misleading. They will treat you with lies and lazyness. The staff is rude and a reflection upon managenment. There is no service here at this hotel. Management insults and dishonors us, even to the point of being rude and hangs up telephone. Staff acts like request are bothersome, even after you are wanting to pay for request. Managers should be fired. Oh and the first room we had smelled of toilet. Staff and managers will make excuses for everything, double price, or just tell you no they cant do anything. They told us they had no vacant rooms to switch us, then they said if we leave the price doubles for the night we stayed. I offered to pay to upgrade room and magically one was available. We had to request water and coffee everyday. I offered to pay but they said they can only give 2 bottles and two coffees each day. I had to request every day. There is more, a very long list, but last and final straw was they have to check room to make sure we did not steal towels and robes. Managers did not offer appologies, only to be hung up on. Do not stay here, consider a five star hotel or...
