Butik Otel' Dvorets Bichaykhanova — Hotel in Irkutsk

The Butik Hotel Bichaikhanov Palace served its purpose. My husband and I spent 10 days in Irkutsk in an Airbnb apartment but checkout was at 10.00am and our flight to Vladivostok wasn’t until 11.55pm. Instead of paying for an extra day at the apartment I looked for a reasonable priced hotel so that we could leave our luggage for the day and possibly have a rest before we left for the airport.||After some research I decided on the Butik Hotel Bichaikhanov Palace, mainly because they supposedly have friendly English-speaking staff and would order a taxi to the airport. The person at the desk had no English but was helpful and did call a taxi to the airport.||I gave a low rating the Butik Bichaikhanov Palace as a hotel but would probably be more of a good hostel. I did book a standard room (AU$52 per night including breakfast) but the room we had was very small, dingy, had thin walls and noisy as it was facing onto a busy street.||However, the room was quite clean, there was a kettle for making tea, towels, shampoo and tooth brushes. The bathroom was tiny and the shower was not at all inviting.||There were superior double rooms but I didn’t see them so...

Highly disappointing stay, the worst hotel in Irkutsk I have been to. Unimpressive facade, heavy noise from the trams passing just in front, a very cramped interior, a poorly organized reception, a very mediocre breakfast with instant coffee. They own a good coffee machine but when I asked if I can have a good coffee, they replied with a ridiculous excuse that it would take time to start the machine (what?).

The place pretends to be a fancy hotel, with some dolls and museum-style ambiance, but the room (costing 3800 roubles = 55 euros) lacks some basic comfort features. Wires hanging off holes in the bathroom, small washing basin with no space to place toothpaste and brush and with no mirror in front, very limited space in the wardrobe, an uncomfortable mattress with two single-size overlapping sheets on a double bed, etc. Nobody made up the room during the entire day! Finally, after my departure I noticed that the receipt was given to the smaller amount than I had actually paid.

Провела одну ночь с 11 на 12.08.2019г. Бесконечно плохо по любому критерию оценки отельного бизнеса. Номера пропитаны грязью, воздух затхлый, кулеры включены в сеть и гудят без воды. Мебель не несёт функциональной задачи, огромный сервант, занимающий проход с единственным графином на полке. Это в номере повышенной комфортности. Постельное белье удручающего серого от ветхости вида, причём на двуспальную кровать застрелили 2 простыни в нахлёст, пододеяльник подозреваю был не первой свежести. Радовалась, что только одну ночь придётся здесь провести. Завтрак не прибавил оптимизма, когда спросила: "А салфетки у вас имеются?" - получила ответ: "Вы что не видете на столе рулон туалетной бумаги." Первое впечатление об Иркутске было безнадёжно испорчено. Не советую ни при каких обстоятельствах, такие отели надо закрывать. Жалко было семейную пару иностранцев. Всегда пишу положительные и даже восторженные отзывы, но здесь достали. Противно было в отеле, а ещё противней вспоминать и писать. Надеюсь, что кому нибудь помогла не сделать выбор по...
