MARX hotel — Hotel in Irkutsk

We booked 7 rooms for 14 adults on 16-18/Mar/2019 for 2 nights. 3 of us arrived earlier to Irkutsk that they checked in and took 2 rooms in advance. 11 persons were later and arrived to hotel around 23:00. Upon we checked in, the reception lady advised we were group booking that our breakfast must arranged together and had limit choice than individual booking. But I checked my booking confirmation, it never mentioned our booking was group booking and/or the Hotel should treat the booking as group booking for certain rooms were booked. We had reminded that 3 of our group had checked in earlier that we total had 14 persons in total. When we went to the restaurant to have breakfast. We found they set tableware’s and food (e.g. bread and fruit etc) for 11 persons in a table only. We repeated once again that we had total 14 persons to the waiter. He just provided us 3 additional sets of tableware. We reminded he needed to provide three sets of food also. But he roughed and made of his impolite attitude towards us and advised all breakfast were served without missing. It looked we were cheating to have three additional breakfast. Our feeling was worst and negative. We did not think the breakfast was deluxe and rich to cheat three more. Final, we 14 persons shared with 11 sets of breakfast only. Our holiday mood was ruined by their restaurant staff. We were a group of friends who visited the city separately and meet up at this hotel (we booked the hotel in separate booking). The worst and ridiculous happened when my friends arrived. |It is not strange to us about different breakfast offer to individual and group guest, but we don’t expect |we treated as a group especially we booked via booking.com|Anyway, the staff yell to us to show him the room card once we step in the restaurant. Then, they |arranged a table for part of my friend (a group). We were not allowed to sit together coz we were not|included in the group (the breakfast was pre-ordered the day before, it was ridiculous that how come we were not|allowed to sit together). OK then, we separate the table. And the worst thing was they insisted they already provided all breakfast to us but actually they missed 3 of us. It seems we cheated to them (how bad feeling we had). The restaurant did not have other guests at that time. it was so easy to find out how many dishes they put on the table. We asked to talk to their manager but one of them said he was. He refused to do anything even try to solve the problem.
